By the sounds of it, it seems we're all feeling it takes a little bit of practice

. Just like riding a bike I guess, once we're all reprogrammed it will be no bother, and we'll all be slim and gorgeous forever, huzzah!
Weigh in was yesterday and I've lost another four pounds, meaning I'm exactly four stone lighter than when I started. Delighted with that, particularly as time of the month usually makes me retain a few pounds in water.
Friend came over last night and we got a Chinese takeaway with our normal order. We barely made a dent in it, had it for brunch today and I've still got an entire carton of chow mein left over for tomorrow's lunch! Also got the verdict that my frame appears to have shrunk - it's nice to get support like that!
That's one thing I really love about the system, that I don't feel awkward eating in social situations at all. It's easy to say "No thanks, I don't feel hungry" and I can do all my usual social things without angsting over how many points or calories I'm eating, completely mucking up my diet, or feeling guilty. So don't get worked up suse!
I had a bad day over the holidays as well where I had was stuck in an unfamiliar place waiting for a very late lift and nobody was answering a phone. When I got home, I went straight for the slice of 7-layer chocolate cake I knew was around and stuffed it down much like I used to, even though I knew full well it was emotional hunger. Still, I dusted myself off and told myself one lapse wasn't the end of the world and got right back on the system with my dinner that night.
I've also noted I'm drinking a lot more water this week which I'm quite pleased with. Hopefully that will help a bit, it does seem to be making me fuller actually. Eating slowly and consciously seems to be going better now I'm back in a home situation. I took absolutely forever over dinner tonight and left a good part of it. It was a stuffed chicken recipe that we have reasonably often, but I swear it tasted much better tonight, so perhaps paying more attention really does change things!
