Hi everyone

Was just contemplating packets of linseed/flax in Holland and Barrett... want to try using it ground up as 'flour'.

Does anyone know the difference between golden linseed and brown linseed? Apart from the colour...

brown has more carbs from what ive seen x

i was checking out brown flax seedes in tesco the other day and was shocked to see they were much higher in carbs

Glad I never used the brown then, I didn't actually realise there was more than one type.

Strange... looked at the nutritional info on both types in H&B (Neal's Yard) and they are exactly the same, though perhaps they just slapped on the same labels. Anyway, I bought the golden ones just to be on the safe side. Going to try a muffin in a minute...
