Step 1 Sole Source Diary of a CD Girl - 35lbs off in 10 weeks :)

Hello fellow CD'ers!

I am about to join you all in the whirlwind journey of CD! This is not new to me so I know what I am to expect. I won't bore you with the ins and outs of my dieting history, you'd be reading a novel! So I will try and keep it as short as possible.

Back in Oct 2008 I started SS and successfully lost 4st in 3 months. This was in order to conceive as I had found out in the Aug that I had a very severe case of PCOS and conceiving naturally was very unlikely, but losing weight would considerably increase my chances. It worked! :D I now have a very happy, healthy 2 year old daughter who is my inspiration for getting healthy. I put on 2st through my pregnancy and unfortunately since having my daughter, I have gained a further 2st and am back to square one :(

So here I am! After trying and failing and trying and failing and trying and failing, I haven't been able to get back to where I was through any other diet plan. So with my finances being a little bit better and I can now afford CD, I am giving it a second go and hoping to be as successful as I was the first time round.

Tomorrow is day 1 for me and I am excited! Thankyou for reading :) Wish me luck! xxx

Day 1

So far so good. Been drinking lots of water and had only one shake so far, will be having my second at around 4-5pm and then the third at around 8pm.

I am so determined to see this through as I did with my first journey on CD. I keep reminding myself of how much I hate my photo being taken and how much it has affected me on my daughters birthdays, I would love to enjoy having my photo taken with her on her special day. Her birthday is in October so I am hoping to be at least half way there by then!

I love the approach and frame of mind you've set yourself. Makes all the difference i believe between succeeding and failure. Its been a hard weekend to get through, i don't know if totm tends to makes most ladies feel hungry cause as of today I've been fine again. Ill be keeping watch on your progress, does help to have support i think. :)

Thankyou! Support definitely does help :) No luck for me on my first week then as day one of CD and day one of TOTM! Not a great combo but I am so determined! xxx
 
Update - Day 1:


Today has gone surprisingly well! I mentioned earlier about today not only being Day 1 of CD but Day 1 of TOTM also, so I was a little apprehensive this morning.

I had the apple and cinnamon porridge for dinner and will try the spicy tomato soup for tea. I really enjoyed the porridge, I was feeling quite hungry so it was nice to eat something substantial. I nearly made a whoopsie at dinner time, I was dishing up my little girls food and without thinking I went to pick up a chip and eat it! It was as if it was mentally installed, I did it without thinking about it but quickly stopped myself! The only downfall of today would be that I have had quite a bad headache, but I am used to those what with having PCOS.

Im hoping most days will be like today, if so I will be very happy :D xxx
 
Feeling hungry this morning!!! But I am going to distract myself with shopping :D xxx
 
Day 2


Been naughty today :( I haven't cheated but I went out shopping first thing and didn't take any shakes out with me, then I got sidetracked and ended up visiting my sister and didn't get in until 8pm lol! So I had my first shake at 9pm :eek:

I have had plenty of water to get me through the day but don't know how I will fit all 3 shakes in now :/

Still very determined and positive :) xxx

Day 3...(yesterday)


Went really well! Had my first shake at 11am as I was off out and wanted to have brunch to last me through the day, it was banana which I thought was really nice! Felt fine all day and had a vegetable soup at 6pm which I enjoyed so I had it again at 9pm for my last 'meal' of the day.

Still feeling very positive and determined :) Roll on today! x
 
Day 4...(yesterday)

Another good day :) Busy again so didn't really have time to think about being a little hungry, although, at tea time I was at my Aunties and she made homemade toad-in-the-hole with roast potatoes and all the trimmings! It was difficult not feel to sorry for myself when sitting at the dining table with everyone with a small bowl of CD Original Porridge lol but my little girl had a big plate of the toad-in-the-hole so I was happy she enjoying it at least.

Still feeling very positive and looking forward to Mondays WI! xxx
 
well done so far hun, I am restarting too so know how you feel especially with the family sitting around munching on your favourites lol. I am only on day 2 and palnning to stick to this and my fitness regime for the next 8 weeks :) I want to go on holiday and not worry about being in pictures too, or having to delete pics as I dont like the 'angle' more like I dont like my chins lol! Good luck, when is your weigh in? Mine will be tuesday which will only be 4 days in as it was the only appt I could get iwth my CD, hoping for 6 lbs x

Thankyou so much for the post! I really appreciate any support I can get lol.

I hate that I have missed out on so many photo opportunities with my daughter but hopefully that will be a thing of the past!

My weigh in day is Monday and I am really excited! I am hoping for about 10lbs but anything is better then not losing at all! 6lbs should be achievable for 4 days in the first week, I will keep my fingers crossed for you! x
 
Thanks I will for you, keep you lil ones birthday photos in mind - maybe you could reward yourself with a lovely Canvas or photobook of the two of you together :)
