So just weighed in this morning after completing first 3 weeks on new JUDD lifestyle & I'm 7lbs down.
Some background....I'm 60yrs young and have struggled with my weight most of my life...mostly I managed to keep it at a comfortable 10st 7lbs - 11st...which was not skinny slim but was not exactly fat either & I was quite fit. However the last 20yrs as my dearest OH says..I managed to diet 'ON' 10 stone ( I must have lost at least 20st during those 20yrs and each time put it back on with a bit extra for good measure LOL..sound familiar??).
2 yrs ago my health started to suffer & my GP put me on Xenical & told me to count calories. It worked..I lost 4 stone...then life got in the way..and slowly back it all came until in July another health scare and I decided something had to be done.
I needed to do a 30hrs clear fluids followed by nil by mouth before a medical procedure..and found it quite easy..at the same time people were talking about the Panorama programme..so I started to do some research and came across JUDD....so I started...hopefully with the support on here..this time I can make it.
Like many of you I use MFP to log my foods...and have been on there about 2yrs, however calorie counting on its own never lasts with me because I behave for a few weeks then binge on naughties...this plan lets me have them on my UD's...yipee....except that at the moment I don't actually want them and stuggle to meet my calories. I've got great friends on MFP but TBH they make me feel so guilty if i work anything slightly unhealthy into my daily calories!! I cook nearly everything from fresh..but do like to Bake as well....
My JUDD allowances are DD 427 & UD 2102, however the last 3 weeks I've been doing DD Mon/Wed/Fri & achieving around 500. Tues/Thurs around 1600..and SAT/Sun I try to do 1600 +
