The Montignac Method

Now 40% less fat !
GOOOAAAAAAAAAAAL!!
:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

So I'm officially maintaining now (although I've still got about 4 weeks to go on CD stabilisation) and looking to share my journey with other maintainers.

I'm currently on 1200 calories per day (Step 4 of the Cambridge plan) and will be gradually increasing my intake week on week as I phase out the meal replacement products.

If all goes to plan, I should be finished with calorie counting forever in early March and will be maintaining my weight by following the Montignac method.

Never heard of it? Well watch this space ...

Getting things in perspective.

22 days ago I reached my goal and officially became a maintainer.

Things have been up and down those 3 weeks; gaining, losing, gaining again. I was brimming with confidence one minute and sinking into despair the next. I've gained 2lbs overall since 13th February and seem to be back in to a phase of weight loss now as my body has adjusted to it's 1200 calorie limit but I did peak at almost 11st 13 which took me outside my maintenance range and made me very miserable and worried that I was going to struggle to maintain the new me.

Back in the game now though! In control and ready to launch my maintenance diary properly!

Food Diary 6/3/2012

Breakfasted like a Queen today as I'd decided to split the bulk of my calories between two large meals. I was in rehearsal for the local Scout and Guide Gang Show from 6.30 to 9.30 and whilst I didn't want to be dancing around on a full tummy I couldn't have waited until after 10.00 to eat either.

So...... fruit then my run, then a poached egg on granary toast with my Cappuccino shake in a strong decaf coffee, topped off with two slices of toast with butter and low sugar apricot jam!
Yummy yummy!

Meal 2 was at about 4.30 and was a burger with a huge plate of salad.

I had my second CD meal (choc orange chewy bar) midway through rehearsal and am now finishing off my milk allowance in a latte!

All within my calorie allowance so feeling both satisfied and virtuous ....let's see how the scales respond tomorrow!

Well that worked! Another pound down this morning :D
So weird after weeks of STS on pretty much the same intake and exercise levels. Well I ain't going to argue with the scales !

Whoooooop!

i was on the Montignac diet a few years ago and lost over half a stone in a month with exercise. I must say that its fantastic but i couldnt stick to it. I hope it works well for you though :)

It just makes so much sense! I'm calorie counting ATM as the book doesn't recommend going straight from a restricted intake into the method. Can't wait for the day when I can eat without all the weighing and measuring malarky!

By then we'll know the amounts we should be eating... I can tell now... but i weigh then i dont go over nd take myself out of ketosis!! lol...

But that wont matter later!!!! XXX

Organisation is the key Lou, definitely! Whilst I'm finding this whole calorie counting thing tough, I am developing good habits wrt menu planning and food shopping. I live by lists and plans at work and at home but have never applied that discipline to food - always been a free spirit in that department. Hungry? Go and look what's in stock and what you fancy! Not always a good idea for a cake pigeon!

Living the scout motto now.....be prepared! Lol

Yoohooo hun... how you doing? Hope all is well in your world chick.... xxxx

Hi Lou

Fine diet-wise. Real bummer in all other respects. Will need to get on here for a bloody good whinge later!
