25 years old.Vegetarian .Calorie Counter
So excited to be pregnant with my first child ! :)
I'm only about 4-5 weeks but hoping all will go well .. I can't wait til 12 weeks as we haven't told any of our family or friends yet we want to wait until we know 100% that all is ok.
I know is inevitable that I will gain weight but I'm hoping if I eat healthily I don't gain masses and masses of weight .

Good luck for the next few weeks. It's an amazing yet very scary time. When you reach 12 weeks tho it will become alot more real when u can tell people.

Congratulations hun I am now 9 weeks pregnant so there isn't much between us so hopefully we can share our experience as we go along x

I too am pregnant on my first baby.. Just got into second trimester this week (am 13+3).. We told immediate family almost straight away but am so happy to now be able tell the world.. Its such a long wait to get to here.. But just take it a day at a time. Rest. Rest and rest some more..
I've been trying to lose weight for the past 2.5 years now n have lost an OK amount.. So I am adamant to keep control of my gain during pregnancy.. In the first 12 weeks I lost 3lbs. N hoping to maintain through the rest.. I still have a good bit to lose, so am hoping by maintaining baby will gro nice n healthy n i'll be losing :)
I did speak with my midwife about this and she says as long as I'm eating enough, and eating healthy baby will be OK.. Am obviously drinking more milk etc so baby gets as much calcium as it needs and I don't count/keep track of it but foodwise I am trying (most days) to eat as healthy as I can.. Pack in the fresh fruit n veg n everything is a bonus really..

Hoping to do the same but not putting too much pressure on myself because I don't want to heap jeopardise baby's healthy but like you said aslong as I'm eating healthy I'm hoping all will be ok . I would have like to have lost a little more weight before becoming pregnant but I'm determined to be as healthy as possible so that hopefully once baby arrives I can get back on track :)

I'm exactly the same.. Would have preferred to have been down at least another stone but such is life eh?!
You're right to not put too much pressure on yerself.. There's enough to stress about during this time.. just do as best you can.. I've not been making the best food choices this week but lotz going on at home.. Life gets in the way sometimes.. But as long as baby is getting all it needs... Just take it a day at a time
 
Hi hun! Congratulations on your pregnancy. I wish you all the best for the weeks to come and a happy, healthy pregnancy :)

I'm 14+1 today, and remember being 4 weeks like it was yesterday so it will soon fly for you hun!

One tip I will give you is to not put too much pressure on yourself. It was my plan to do SW all the way through and up until I was 6 weeks pregnant I was fine, and then the food aversions hit! Went off pretty much everything apart from salty crisps and crackers lol. Luckily, my appetite went with it so I didn't really eat a lot, hence why I haven't yet put on any weight. But just go with it, go with what your body needs and don't feel bad if you can't manage a salad, or a piece of fruit. Take a pregnancy multi-vitamin so baby is getting all the goodness - even if you are living off crackers lol. :) Fingers crossed you have a nice smooth-sailing 1st trimester :) Good luck hun xx

Ah thanks Hun that's really helpful .. I'm not feeling too different at the mo so eating healthily is easy but I'm sure that will all change like you said .

Not necasserily.. You could be as lucky as me and get by with amost no MS and no food aversions.. That's not saying I've been a food angel all the way thru.. But as long as you're most of the time, the little treats dont hurt.. :)

How are you feeling? Tiredness kicked in yet? How long are you now? xxx

Yeah, just carry on for as long as you can and fingers crossed you won't get many food aversions :) the chances are you could go off some stuff...it's the smells that made me feel sick... I couldn't even look at a fridge for weeks as well ha ha! Try and up your calcium too :) I've been lucky to really crave a big glass of cold milk, but some ladies go off milk.

But yeah, just carry on as normal but listen to your body if it starts telling you it wants certain things, or doesn't want certain things.

Yeh there's does seem to be quite a few of us .. It's great to have people to talk to especially since we haven't made the announcement yet so I can't really talk to friends / family xx

Ahh my hunger is out of control today .. Yesterday and Sunday were really good days I ate three healthy meals and felt fine but today has been horrendous my tummy has not stopped rumbling All day!!

Extremely bloated today ... Managed to reign it in yesterday despite being starving all day I stuck to healthy foods so feeling good that the last 3 days have been good food wise. No pregnancy symptoms yet other than feeling constipated all the time ( sorry tmi ) going to try and drink more water hopefully that will solve the problem . At work today so hopefully can keep to the healthy eating .

Oh hun.. Sorry to hear you're suffering from constipation.. That's never comfortably so can imagine its just awful...

Have no tips unfortunately.. Are you allowed take Fybogel while pregnant?? They might loosen things a little whille not giving the reverse effect??

I'm having a real "feel fat" day today too.. Ppl are just laughing at me when I tell them and telling me its bump, not fat.. But its not bump!! I've NO bump.. I'd love if it were bump.. But its just fat :( lol

Yeh it's awful been suffering with it for a week which makes me have terrible stomach ache aswell as looking huge !
I can't wait til I have a bump to mask my fatness lol then I have an excuse xx

I don't know tbh.. I haven't seen the midwife yet either so I might give the doctors a ring if it doesn't sort itself out .. Fingers crossed it will !
 
If you google "emma's diary" You can ask there?? Its monitored by the university of midwives or something in the UK so all info on there is 100% fact... Not just "oh well i took this n my baby was fine" from Joe Soaps...
