Hello Everyone :sign0144:


I'm a newbie! Ordered my bumper pack today and waiting for it to come tomorrow and I thought I would start a diary to track my progress (hopefully there will be some) as I know this isn't going to be easy! :( All of you guys seem so lovely and supportive of each other so I hope I have come to the right place to meet some new pals! :D

So to bore you with a little bit about myself ... My name is Emma I am 21 and currently weigh 16st13lb! I have always been overweight but the past few years due to depression and other lovely things I have managed to gain a serious amount of weight. I have finally got to the point where enough is enough and I know I need to do something to lose the pounds! I have been doing my research and tried a few shakes and think that Slim n Save was the best way to go. I like the idea of how quick the weight can come off (providing I actually stick to it my willpower hasn't always been fantastic) .....

Anyways I am eager to get down to my goal of around 10 stone in a year or so... I know this is a lot to lose but I am feeling more motivated than ever to make some positive changes (ohhh and I am not always this chirpy so be prepared for some complaining :eek:)

I hope I haven't bored you all too much as I would loveeeee some support and to make some new friends!! I will post again tomorrow or the next day to update you on my first day!

Hi Emma. You will do great hun. I can go into ketosis in a couple of days and then after that just have to deal with mind hunger rather than food hunger. I have a bad habit of knocking myself out of ketosis and having to start again but this time I have decided I am not going to do that. I am sure you already know that ketosis is the name of the game and allows you to burn fat at a higher level. There is loads online about the state of ketosis if you need more information, as I did. I want to be slim for Christmas and this is just what I need to do to get there. You can do the same and have about the same to lose as me so we can do this together.

Best of luck when you start. Just get through the first 2 days and it really will get easier :)
 
Awww thanks Elizabeth! Yess we can try to keep each other motivated :D I am looking foward to getting past the first few days as I have heard how much easier things get once I am in ketosis! Especially if I can get a good number off in the first week will keep me excited! A skinny minny by christmas would be lovely so here it goes!! :D xx
 
Here goes :). There are a few fairly new long haulers on here who are really supportive so if you ever feel like giving up or that it is too hard or .... worse.... actually go off the wagon then just come on and have a moan to anyone lol. It will make you feel better and you will get great support to get you through. I'll certainly be around for a while, at least until Christmas, maybe even Valentines day, but I'm planning for Christmas and I know the time will fly by.

Oh and the great thing about it is that it is not just a case of being overweight now and then being at target which seems a long way off. It is process and the slimmer we get the better we will look, so after a stone we will look better then another stone and will look even better and so on and so on. I tell myself that when the target seems a long way in the distance.
 
Yeah its definately good to know I have somewhere to go when I need to have a little moan! Exactly... every few pounds is going to make the difference! I have a whole range of clothes in my wardrobe and i know every half stone I lose im going to be able to wear so much more stuff :D and less black! lol

Ok so even though I am not starting until my pack comes tomorrow... I need to confess my sins! I had a VERY naughty dinner of potato skins and these little southern fried chicken thingys.... :break_diet: not goooood! However the thought of the naughty food was much better than the naughty food itself and now I feel like an absolute bloat and cannot wait to get started tomorrow!

I guess I can call it the last supper! Goodbye old unhealthy Emma, hello skinny minnie Emma!

Lets just hope I can find some willpower somewhere!
I wish they did a smiley face for excited but nervous at the same time! hehe

Welcome on board Emma!

Remember how you feel about your dinner, the first few days will be tough but if you can remember that the meal wasn't that great, it'll help you stay on track!

My advice would be keep coming on here, no matter how you're feeling and keep glugging the water.

Enjoy going through your pack when it arrives!
 
Thankyou hun :D thats a great tip! Deffo the last mental push I needed I think! Its soooo nice having somewhere just to write it all down! Im hoping thats what will make the difference this time cos all of you lot are soo lovely :D

I am SO excited for my pack to come tomorrow I'll be waiting by the window for the delivery hehe :p

Only problem is I really don't like drinking water! Are there any lil tips to make it nicer? Or do I need to just stop being a drama queen and get it down me?

You'll soon get used to it, I've got a bottle permanently at my side and just sip throughout the day, you'll be surprised how much you drink when you don't think about it!

I'm sure there's a sticky which lists all the allowed drinks so you can have a break from water all the time. I treat myself to a can of either coke zero or dr pepper zero if I need something different.
 
You'll get to the point where you just don't care! My OH knows that if I say I need to pee, it means NOW!!
 
Hi Ladies
I started Slim and Save on Monday (yesterday) so I am at the end of day 2. I feel a little exhausted and at the moment im feeling rather hungry but I just hope this feeling passes tomorrow!!! Anyone else share any feelings/effects on the 2nd Day?

I am 16st 8lb so have a lot to lose too!! We can do it!!!!! xxx

You should start feeling a bit better tomorrow, it's breaking the habit that's the problem!
