Laura's Summer Slimming!

Well here I am on my 4th weigh in at SW....and I feel I need a diary here to keep track of things too! I am really enjoying SW but weigh ins have been bumpy so far, I am however determined!

Total weight to lose from when I started is 37.5lbs....so far I have lost 4lbs which has gone like this....

Week 1 -3lbs
Week 2 +0.5lbs  (Mothers day weekend I thought maybe accounted for it so was determined to keep at it!)
Week 3 -2lbs

Then tonight week 4 was +0.5lbs which has me pretty stumped....have been on plan all week and said no to treats/cakes offered and made good SW choices at a lunch out on Sunday too! Hmphhhh. As much as I am miffed at what the scales say, my clothes are feeling looser so am trying not to let it get to me too much....

It averages as 1lb a week I guess which is less than I hoped, but onwards and downwards - unlike other diets I have done, I am actually enjoying this one!!

My reasons for losing weight......

1) I was diagnosed 18 months ago with Type 1 Diabetes....was a massive shock for me, and though I lost weight at diagnosis, it soon went back on once the insulin was balanced properly etc. I have always been a bit overweight (ranging to more overweight after my kids were born!) and for once just want rid of it, my health needs me to be at a healthy BMI to reduce risks of any blood pressure and cholesterol problems too.

2) We booked a holiday for July, first time abroad for a good few years and I refuse to be as overweight as I was for it!! I want to wear dresses and skirts comfortably and be happier in myself.

3) For my children, so they see my as a healthy role model!

I have been following a mixture of EE and Original Red days....as I have to measure my carb portions anyway to carb count them so was finding red days easier at times - I will still do a mixture but this week have decided to put in some more EE days again which I did in my first week too and see how I go.....

Have been 100% on plan & really really want to see a loss this week............please!! I even resisted any wine tonight & have upped water intake, drunk about 2 litres today.

Must exercise though this week too - tomorrow morning since I am now off work for 4 days....I think I will start the 30 day shred DVD! :)

Any comments on my diary are welcome! xxx

Tonight's dinner, hope this works!

Laura's Weight Loss Mission with Type 1 diabetes - pics & food diary!

Im also type 1 ...6 years for me. I know how hard it is to budge weigh when insulin is essentially a fat builder. I only started (alone) a week and a bit ago and hope i loose!!!

Sorry just saw this - how are you doing now? I'm having a big wobble this week as it seems I am getting nowhere fast with SW. Thing is I love the plan and the things I am eating but something somewhere isn't working for me :-(
