Hello,
I joined here a few months ago but unfortunately fell of the wagon again. After having some success with Weight Watchers first time round after having my second baby in 2011, I put all the weight back on and then some. Tried it again a few months ago but just didn't work - not blaming WW, more that I just couldn't get 'in the zone' really.
So I've decided to try a new approach and try something completely different! A couple of friends have had good results with Slimming World, I'd always written it off as being too complicated but I popped round to my friend's last week and had a look through her booklets etc and realised it didn't sound as hard as I thought!
I joined the gym last week and had decided to just cut out all the crap I usually eat and be more sensible with my choices etc. Doing that for a week (and been to the gym 3 times) I've lost 2.5lb so now I'm going to try SW and see how that goes, hopefully I'll get the same sort of loss. To be honest I keep panicking and thinking how the hell will I lose weight when I'm eating all this stuff that was so many points on WW?! For instance yesterday I had a jacket potato and beans for lunch - can't get my head round the fact that a jacket potato is free on SW but a whopping 8 pp on WW! But let's give it a go and see.
I've been really motivated since I started this (gym and healthy eating), much more than ever before - probably helps that my wedding is now less than 5 months away! We fly to Greece on 31st May and the wedding is 5th June. I really need to stick at this now because I don't want to look back on wedding pictures and hate how I looked. I'm a 12-14 at the moment and just far too many wobbly bits and trousers being too tight etc! I also always get a chubby face when there's too much weight on me!
Will start keeping a log of my food on here so I can keep track...
ETA: Just to add, I am following the Extra Easy plan, and am going to start off with 10 syns a day and see how I get on with that.
