Monday 15 September

I keep writing my food diary on scraps of paper so if I can keep it on here instead it will all be in one place :)

Breakfast:
HEA - 300 ml skimmed milk (on cereal and coffees throughout the day)
HEB - 40g Weetabix Crunchy Bran (first time trying this, LOVED IT!)
1 x banana

Snacks:
Hard boiled egg
Apple

Lunch:
Leftover vegetable stir fry (2 syns for reduced fat peanut butter in the sauce)

Snack:
Plum

Dinner:
Chicken & vegetable tomato concoction with wholewheat pasta


Total Syns: 2

I am so determined to keep my syns as low as possible at the moment. Obviously if I really want something with a syn value I will have it but at the moment I am so focused and want to do my absolute best. I have heard people say that if you don't have enough syns you won't lose weight as fast. But surely that's just because they are more likely to fall off the wagon and pig out? Surely my body is happier without any extra crap in my diet?! :confused:

I think today was a mega healthy food day :D Just need to make sure I do some exercise before bedtime......

Chicken & veg tomato wholewheat pasta (leftovers from dinner last night)

Walkers Pops (4 syns)

Dinner

Pan Fried Seabass with garlic and spring onions (with some oil - about 5 syns)
Roast potatoes
Corn on the cob

Total Syns: 9 (ish)

I asked the question about if having less syns is better and people on here very kindly explained to me that this is pretty much our only source of fat, which our body obviously needs. So I celebrated with a packet of Pops, and allowed myself some oil with the delicious pan fried seabass in the evening, loved it!! I am keen to use my syns on healthy fats from now on (e.g. olive oil, avocado, nuts, peanut butter, etc etc).

May have slightly overdone the syns tonight but I was treating myself - 4 lbs down at weigh in today!!!! That's my best ever week :)

I will keep my syns to 5 a day for Mon - Thurs.

Ok so after I did today's diary I then STUFFED MY FACE!!! I don't even know how many syns. This (I think) is what I had:

4-5 x milk chocolate squares (from a big bar)
Couple of handfuls of Haribo Tangfastics (4.5 syns - 25g) ?
1 x curly wurly (6 syns)
1 x Cheese & Bacon Pops (4 syns)

It's basically a ridiculous amount of syns. I have to be good for the rest of the week now. All I will be aiming for is to stay the same after all that!!

After breakfast today I was still starving and dreaming of junk food. But after my beans and having re-grouped my focus (must stay 9stone 2lbs this week!!!), the cravings have mostly left me now.

Weight loss is mind over matter. I have to remind myself that I am eating to fuel my body, not just as a hobby for enjoyment.
My body wants good, wholesome, natural, filling foods. Not additives and sugars and bad fats!! Stupid brain. I'm there now though. I think exercising tonight will get me back into the swing of things too.

Just had my lunch.. I'm nice and full, at last!!! Was looking forward to that all morning! Just hope I can remind myself that I am FULL for the next few hours and not think about eating anything, just some water and oolong tea :)

Not really looking forwards to my run tonight at the moment but know it will make me feel better and kick start my weight loss week! 3lbs to lose by Thursday due to gaining 3 lbs over the weekend.. hmph!

So today I feel much better about everything after getting back on track with a healthy day yesterday :D
This morning I did my usual walk past TWO Co-op's with bakery smells pumping out - what I wouldn't give for a cheese twist!!! But not this week. Pounds to lose! Perhaps as a treat on Friday or at the weekend :D
Loved starting the day with my 12 min HIIT! Can't wait to do the shred later tonight, been ages! Jillian will get me working!

(Exercise for today: 12 minute HIIT, 30 mins walking to/from work, 30 day shred level 2 - 20 mins)

Hi Chloe--Love your diary! Can relate to it in lots of ways (too many syns on wine and TOO MUCH HAAAAAM!) and really made me laugh. You're much, much slimmer than me already but will be following your diary because your food looks yummy and love your sense of humour about it all. Keep it up! We can do it :D

Awww thank you!! I'm glad someone has read it, I sometimes feel silly just waffling on to myself! But writing things down is helping I think :)

Yes, we can do it! Positive mental attitude etc etc ;)
 
Hi chick--yeah I've started one but it's being approved because I'm a nooobie. Think writing diaries are cathartic--and keep you accountable because you don't want people to think you're a greedy cow! :p Think my diary will be full of too much ham and wine but will be trying my hardest!
 
Yeah you're right - knowing you have to write something down after you've stuffed your face with it helps you to not stuff your face so much! (fingers crossed!)
