Hi everyone, this is one of my favourite recipes and I also made this for a taster evening. It went down well so i thought i'd post the recipe here.

[FONT="]About 30 Minutes[/FONT]

[FONT="]Ingredients[/FONT][FONT="]:[/FONT]
[FONT="]400g Red Lentils (Masoor Dal)[/FONT]
[FONT="]1 tbl spoon Chilli Powder (Can reduce amount if you don't want it a little bit Spicy)[/FONT]
[FONT="]½ tbl spoon Salt[/FONT]
[FONT="]¼ tbl spoon Ground Turmeric [/FONT]
[FONT="]3 Pints Boiling Water[/FONT]
[FONT="]Freshly cut Coriander (optional)[/FONT]
[FONT="]Boiled rice[/FONT]
[FONT="] [/FONT]
[FONT="]Methods[/FONT][FONT="]:[/FONT]
[FONT="] [/FONT]
[FONT="]1.[FONT="] [/FONT][/FONT][FONT="]Wash the lentils until the water runs clear[/FONT]
[FONT="] [/FONT]
[FONT="]2.[FONT="] [/FONT][/FONT][FONT="]Put the lentils in a large saucepan on medium heat [/FONT]
[FONT="] [/FONT]
[FONT="]3.[FONT="] [/FONT][/FONT][FONT="]Add the Salt, Chilli Powder and the Ground Turmeric to the lentils[/FONT]
[FONT="] [/FONT]
[FONT="]4.[FONT="] [/FONT][/FONT][FONT="]Add 1 ½ Pints of boiling water and then place the lid on the saucepan and leave to cook for 10 minutes on a medium heat[/FONT]
[FONT="] [/FONT]
[FONT="]5.[FONT="] [/FONT][/FONT][FONT="]The water should have been absorbed by the lentils, Add another 1 ½ Pints of boiling water to the lentils. Stir the lentils, place the lid back on and leave for 10 more minutes[/FONT]

[FONT="]6.[FONT="] [/FONT][/FONT][FONT="]Stir the lentils and use a hand blender to blend the lentils for a minute[/FONT]
[FONT="] [/FONT]
[FONT="]7.[FONT="] [/FONT][/FONT][FONT="]Place the lid back on the saucepan and leave to cook for 5 more minutes. [/FONT]

[FONT="]8.[FONT="] [/FONT][/FONT][FONT="]Finally stir the lentils for one last time [/FONT]
