Hello, I have decided to start a brand new diary. I did have one but barely updated it so decided to start a fresh
Basically, my name is Lizzy. I am 21 yrs old, i have been overweight for most of my life but it only became a problem to me personally when I was 14. Starting to socialise more in secondary school and feeling the pressure to look good all the time. Sadly I lost a lot of my personality as it basically took over most of my life, when I got to 18 I lost most of my friends as i refused to go out due to anxiety and feeling like I didn't fit in at all with everyone else.
At 16 I decided to go on one of those "fad diets", i even tried the soup diet which made me a very ill girl! After giving up, I piled on the weight from there... I didn't go out so I used to just stuff my face with cakes, chocolate, crisps, biscuits, fizzy drinks, sweets.... I didn't really have much of a structured day. I had no job, no friends.
Anyway, I finally built up the courage to join a 'proper' diet plan at the age of 20... which was of course Slimming World. I have been on it ever since and of course it hasn't been easy.. i've had ups and downs on the plan, i've had good days and bad days but i'm still on my way and losing weight. I had a miscarriage the end of last year which messed up my mind and diet.. I got back on it eventually and haven't come off it since and don't plan to either! I'm enjoying the plan faaaar too much to just throw it away.
That's my introduction anyway, look forward to "speaking" to some people about their journey's xxxx
