Hello everyone

I started my journey at nearly 19 stone and got down to 12.10 last year. This was a little too far and I bounced straight out and that, coupled with a hugely stressful time at work, resulted in me losing focus completely.

I rejoined in March at 15.1 and I have been 15.1-- 15.8 for the last year! My head hasn't been in the game. But I want to be 13.3 again, which was an achievable and stable weight for me. I felt great and enjoyed running, the shred and yoga.

I will be posting my meals, with pictures, on here and keeping track of my body magic (something that REALLY needs my attention).

I have a wardrobe full of lovely size 14 clothes and a size 16 body. This is me getting back on the horse. :)

(So I am flexisynning on Friday for my work party, but will try to minimise syns up till then.)

Monday-- Total 10.5 syns, 94.5 left

HE: milk & cheese, scan bran
B: 2 boiled eggs, apple
L: bns soup, scan bran, orange
D: spinach, pasta, carrot, celery, cauliflower, arriaba sauce, Asda meatfree meatballs (1.5) 15g Parmesan (3)
Dessert: pudding rice made with Highlights (6)

Absolutely no exercise at all, and none for months and months. Hope to report with some movement (think of the dopamine!) tomorrow.

Tuesday

HE: milk/cheese & scan bran

B- boiled eggs & banana
L- bns soup, apple
D- chilli, couscous (1.5), tofu, Parmesan (3) cocoa powder (6) banana

So 10.5 syns today. No exercise. I must try harder :)

Thursday

Well, that's my experiment with 5:2 over and done with. I felt terrible all day; my head was woolly, I was tired and unable to concentrate or really do anything. I had a day off my writing project and have watched films/played on the internet/not left the house, despite my grand plans. I also had an upset stomach.

It also triggered a binge, which is annoying but is really something I should have predicted. I have been obsessing over food for the last two days, and that never goes well. But if I write it down I can face it. It's only one day, after all, and it's been weeks, I think, since my last.

B- spinach, boiled eggs, 1 scan bran, 1 tsp butter (2) banana
L- soup, 4 scan bran, apple, carrot, crisps (12)
D- chilli, couscous (1.5), apple

Extras: Fudge (18) Dairy milk (13) Biscuits I am guessing (50).

Targets for tomorrow:
1) Delete MFP. MOST IMPORTANT.
2) Get out of the house
3) Do 5 minutes of exercise.

Good luck with your loss. I also need to start doing exercise and drinking more water - neither of which I seen to get around to doing - hoping to make a fresh start in January:)

New Year's Day

I drove last night and had a small bowl of chips instead of a burger etc. small glad of wine and diet coke helped my syns and my wallet.

I weighed in after Xmas and had put on 7lb. I am 15.11.

B- eggs, bacon, beans
D- rice, bean chilli, spinach, persimmon
Snack- porridge (he) blackberries, stewed apple (1.5) Hot choc (2 )

NO Exercise OMG. Why am I so blocked over it? :(

January 2nd

B- boiled egg, carrot
D- rice with spinach, chilli, porridge, blackberries, stewed apple (1.5)

Then I made loads of shortbread and ate it. I am not sure why. Bored, I think. (30)

But it's not too bad as it uses up my syns left over from yesterday.

Exercise! Hurrah! I went for a 'run' in the woods. So good to be outside. My stamina is rock bottom but as long as I am moving I am doing the right thing.

(Also I cooked too much rice. Will lessen the amount tomorrow.)

I wouldn't worry about the gain, there's quite a few of us that have gained over xmas - me included!
Well done on the 'run', at least you done it! :)
Perhaps you need to try and find a 'positive' attitude?...may help? x

Saturday 3rd January

Brunch - quorn sausages (3), eggs, beans
D- pork chops, mash, celery, carrots, gravy (4)
Snack - porridge, blackberries, stewed apple (1.5), apple.

Glass of baileys (6)

Exercise: 20 mins exercise bike :)

Total syns = 14.5. I think I'm about breaking even, even with the shortbread. If I can keep on the straight and narrow Sunday and Monday I might even show a loss.

Sunday 4th Jan

Today started off fine and then went massively downhill, mostly thanks to a habit I've picked up of buying a MASSIVE marzipan log covered in dark chocolate whenever I go to lidl.

It's not happening again. I finally looked them up. 40 syns. 40!!!! And I much prefer chocolate. So I ended up having a bit of a what-the-hell. It's also thanks to what my consultant calls 'the condemned woman act' because I have to go back to work tomorrow and I don't want to.

On a positive note, I do love it when I look these things up and realise. Each time helps me make better choices.

So anyway...

L- soups, carrots, apple, 3 ryvita, cheese (6) olives (1)
D- baked pot, butter (2), tuna, onion, salad cream (2) celery, tomatoes, Chocolate rice pudding (5) with banana
Snack - lidl marzipan 40 (ouch ouch ouch)

Total syns for the day 56

No exercise. Ho hum. Tomorrow is going to be much much better (as long as I steer clear of lidl, lol).

Ouch on the marzipan/choc log!!!
I have had things like that in the past!
Just goes to show if you eat like that most days along with other high syn foods, the weight can easily pile on!
I would think nothing of going to the vending machine at work and getting 2 bars of chocolate and eating them before i'd even got to the motorway after leaving the yard at work, then stopping off in shops and buying family bagss of minstrels, a choc cake, pasties... , when you stop to think about it , it is shocking!

But, bit of damage limitation, and tomorrows another day, and back on plan , you could be fine :)
Stay in focus, and you will get there x

Monday 5th Jan

B- boiled egg, banana
L- soup, celery, carrot, apple
D- cabbage, bean chilli, cabbage, couscous, oranges

Hot choc (2)

Exercise: 30 mins trot/walk in the woods then shred day 1.

Weigh in today. Lost 6lb. So marzipan not the killer I thought, hurrah! :D
