Morning laura :)

Thanks! I just grate some carrot and thinly slice cabbage and red onion and mix it with some ff yogurt ( it needs alot of seasoning and I also put some lemon juice and garlic in it as well) you just have to tweak it to you own taste :)

morning all!

so just to update a couple of changes in yesterday's diary..

B: was lovely! Tin of tomatoes simmered for about 5 minutes and add some dried basil and a garlic clove with plenty of seasoning and also used a chilli/garlic grinder that I got from the poundshop (highly recommended) then stirred in a load of spinach, let that wilt and then cracked in two eggs, covered with a lid for about two minutes and its done :D it was lovely!!

L: saw me quite rushed today.. (Ate at work and so had to eat around assisting residents and reading loads of paperwork..) so the coleslaw didn't make it on this occasion I'm afraid.. But still had a big salad, jacket and tuna with around 3 syns worth of light salad cream.

D: was lovely but just changed the veg around to what I could get my hands on, 1x carrot, 1x courgette, 1 head of broccoli, spring onions, onion and red pepper. All cooked up with soy sauce prawns and egg noodles and also a good grinding of the chilli/garlic grinder as well :D. Made so much that I had a big portion last night and having the same again this evening! (Saves me eating anything naughty that may be on offer at my boyfriends ;D)

S: had a necterine but couldn't find any strawberries at the local farm shop so stuck with a load of blackberries fresh from the garden and blueberries all mixed up with a yogurt (2 syns) and then had a toffee crisp biscuit (5 syns) when I got home.

Thursday 22nd August.

B: French toast (HEB) with strawberries (found some at tescos express last night-£1 a punnet!) and blueberries with yogurt (2 syns) 2 x coffee with HEA.

L: undecided as yet as I am going out with the bf, was due to go for a picnic so researched what I could pick up from the supermarket... But it's been raining all night so that's off the cards..

D: leftover prawn stirfry from last night.

going to the cinema tonight and am considering making my own frozen yogurt with strawberries and milky bar.. I think it may just work!! So am saving my syns for a couple of sweet treats this evening :)

2.5-3 litres of water to be consumed.

Have a great day all :D

forgot to say that I was also having 1/2 a grapefruit with a tsp of sugar (1 syn) just finished battling with it!! It was lovely- haven't eaten one for years!! Think I may need to google how to segment one in the future though ;p

Yum!

Mmm your food is making me hungry again and I've already had my tea! :D Haven't had french toast in so long, reminds me of being a kid but with lashings of sugar! :D

Evening all :)

so to sum up the rest of the day,

L: we decided to buy something and cook at home rather than eat out so chose some chicken tikka steaks (1 syn) which were griddled, served with a big salad and also 1/2 and uncle bens Mexican rice pouch (1/2 syn?) however.. I let one of my weaknesses creep in to the basket today... Chicken wings!!! I just love them soooooo much... So I synned about 10 syns for the ones I had.. :/ but they were sooo worth it!!

Also snacked on some wafer thin ham and a big bowl of raspberries, blackberries and strawberries.

Drunk 2.5 litres of water

D: left over prawn stirfry from last night - not as tasty as the first lot but still filling.

we went to see 2 guns tonight- go and see it! It is fantastic!! I attempted to make my own frozen yogurt for my and my boyfriend, it was ok but the recipe needs some tweaking ;) I chopped up some strawberries and mixed with petit filous (4 syns) and some mini milky bars (7 syns) and it tasted pretty good! Definitely better than stopping off at the Ben and jerrys stall :D

so all in I have synned 30 for today leaving me 31 for Friday,Saturday and Sunday - so it's a good job I am working all of them!!

Good night all and will catch you tomorrow :)

Good day to all :)

Have been working a mid shift today so.that has kept me very busy..

B: spinach and mushrooms with 2 x poached eggs on toast ( heb ). 2 x coffees ( hea )

Snack: nectarine

L: 1/2 pack of couscous (1/2 syn) with leftover roasted veg (butternut squash, peppers, onion, courgette, carrots) yogurt (2 syns) with strawberries and blackberries.

2 litres of water so far today.. its so hot!!

D: will be the basil and tomato chicken that is in this month's magazine, with shoestring fries and a nice big salad.

Body magic: walked to work today (20 minutes) and will be embarking on the first day of the c25k this evening! Im a little apprehensive but need to push myself as I am sick of being so lazy!! I'll update later to let you know how I got on :/

Hope you've all had a good day and are looking forward to the weekend :D

Xx

So evening update, dinner was lovely! Although the recipe in the magazine is not accurate time wise..

My first day of couch to 5k actually went really well! I am so pleased with myself :D I was actually surprised that I was able to maintain the jogging part for the whole time (as I thought that is where I would struggle) Will have to invest in some reflective gear as it is getting darker a bit earlier these days.

I have felt like I have had a massive shake up this week (even though it is * week :/) and really hope that it pays off on the scales! Either way though I know that I have turned a corner and am already starting to think in a much healthier way :D

Evening snacks: litre of water/ no added sugar squash.

Maltesers (9 syns)

total syns for today 11 1/2.

85/105 syns for the week.

Talk tomorrow

Hi Nic - here to subscribe and follow you with your weightloss. 13lbs will be off in no time chick. Good Luck x

I have read all of your diary and I hope your not offended but i noticed a couple of things which may or may not make a difference to your losses.

Are you measuring your milk? If your only having 2 coffees and not using any other milk that is not enough for your HEXA, the same for your cheese, it needs to be weighed and measured rather than a sprinkle and guesstimate the syns.

A gold bar is 6 syns not 5, and unless your maltesers were a 35g bag of white for 9 syns the 37g bags of ordinary are 9.5 syns.

If your doing EE a jacket potato is not a HEB choice its a free food so you have done yourself out of extra food a B choice :D

Im not picking hun just trying to help and hope it aids your losses - I would hate to think you were jeopardising them.

Hi there! Thanks for subscribing and many thanks for your pointers- very much appreciate anything others can spot that I am not seeing (I've stayed the same for a few weeks for one reason or another!) and so any help is gratefully received.

I do tend to have milky coffees but your right, I shall measure out my milk tomorrow just to check I am using it all up ;)

i shall also keep an eye on syn values for my chocolate treats too :D

thanks for that about the potato!! I've only just started on EE this past week after sts on red days.. So still getting used to it all but i think it is all finally sinking in :D

hope you have a great weekend.

Nic
