this might be a stupid question, but do the syn values mean per wrap or per bag???

Hi Matthew
Not silly at all ;) . I wish it were per bag, but it's per wrap. I will add thus so it's clearer.

I thought I would work out which Tortilla from each SYN 'group' was the best size for your SYNS - and then an overall best.

The SYN values are per wrap.

4.5 SYNS:-
ASDA
wholemeal tortilla wraps 8 pack 34g each
MORRISONS
Tortilla wraps mini plain 6 wraps 34g each
(0.13 syns per gram)

5 SYNS
WARBURTONS
Sandwich Thins 42g each
(0.12 syns per gram)

6 SYNS
ASDA
Tortilla Wraps 8 pack 44g each
(0.14 syns per gram)

6.5 SYNS
TESCO
Value Tortilla Wraps 8 Pack 47g each
(0.14 syns per gram)

7 SYNS
SAINSBURY
BGTY Tortilla Wraps 6 pack x 50g
(0.14 syns per gram)

8 SYNS
WARBURTONS
6 White Square Wraps 65g each
(0.12 syns per gram)

8.5 SYNS
TESCO
Light Choices 8 pack 64g each
(0.13 syns per gram)

9 SYNS
ALDI village bakery
Soft flour tortilla wraps Mediterranean
herbs 6 pack 67g each
(0.13 syns per gram)

9.5 SYNS
TESCO
plain tortilla wraps 8 pack 64g
(0.15 syns per gram)

10 SYNS
ALDI- village bakery
soft flour 67g each
(0.15 syns per gram)

10.5 SYNS
KINGSMILL
50/50 Wraps pack of 6 at 75g each
(0.14 syns per gram)

The winning verdict:-
5 syns each Warburtons Sandwich Thins ( you could have 2 of these with free food!!)

Or

8 syns each Warburtons White Square Wraps

However - there is not really a great deal difference between any of them at all - so I would be looking at syn value, amount I can have , wrappability & taste!

Thanks for posting this, I love real tortillas and its great to think with a free or even an SS filling TWO (!!!!) could come within a reasonable syn allowance for one day .... happy me :)

Discovery wholemeal are 5 1/2 syns for a 40g wrap.

Chilli & Jalapeno Tortillas, 8 pack, 40g each javascript:__doPostBack('ctl00$ctl0...1$GridView_Products$ctl02$LBADDExtraEasy','')6½Chilli & Jalapeno Tortillas, 8 pack, 40g each javascript:__doPostBack('ctl00$ctl0...1$GridView_Products$ctl02$LBADDExtraEasy','')6½The corn ones are 6 syns as are the garlic and coriander variety.

Good morning, this page is great as i love wraps they make a great change to boring sandwiches...i have a query and hope you can help, In group we are always being told if you eat something wholemeal you can use it as your HexB choice just deduct 6 syns from the syn value and count the rest. Have you counted these with the 6 syns taken into account or is that the full syn value for each wrap....Thanks, i hope this makes sense to you x

These are the full syn values for these products. You cannot take 6 syns off because wraps are not on the HEb list - they either do not have enough fibre in them to count as a HEB or have too much oil/additives in them

:(...aww gutted now but pleased i know, you may just have saved me from another dieting disaster

Thanks and oops

Darn, :( just found this posting about 15 mins too late! Had one of the tesco wraps which are 9.5 syns, I thought I could have one instead of my bread for my HEB so looks like I have just blown my syns for today as am now over 15. Oh well they will be winging their way to my brothers house tomorrow as he is blessed with a waist line that doesn't ever need a diet!... As for me I shall be back to my wholemeal rolls. Great post, thanks the information is really useful and now I know if I am really desperate then I can buy some of the smaller ones. Well done on the weight loss

Are pitta breads the same issue or can they count as HEB on EE?

Ah fair enough, as I tend to shop at Sainsburys but maybe Asda is the way forward on a lot of things :) Thanks for the info!

subing so I can find again :)

the B Free tortilla wrap can be used as a HEB choice on Slimming World.
