I've no plans to buy it myself but looking at the nutritional info it doesn't seem to contain anything that you wouldn't find in most of the ready meals we all eat without a 2nd thought. The only dodgy looking things are lactic acid and sodium benzoate. Turns out, lactic acid is what does the curdling in the yogurt and cottage cheese processes and it's also the product of the natural yeasts in the air and gives sourdough bread it's distinctive flavour. Sodium benzoate occurs naturally in cranberries, plums, cinammon and apples and is widely used as a preservative in salad dressings, pickles and fizzy drinks. A weight watchers lemon yogurt, for example, contains Sodium Citrate, Citric Acid, Calcium Citrate, Aspartame, Acesulfame K and Potassium Sorbate. By comparison, I'd hardly brand this mayo to be "full of chemicals". Plus, if it has no calories, how can you give it syns?
