If I eat it, I'll snap it <3 SW Postpartum

30/03/2020

Breakfast
32g Blueberry Wheats, Milk from 200ml Whole milk Hex A, cuppa and an apple

Lunch
2 scrambled eggs and an avocado (I'm not sure on syns so putting 15), fruit salad

Dinner
Kedgeree

Snack later will have to be fruit

I've not used my other HexA or the rest of the first one yet. A little blue cheese snack may be on the cards! (It's a damn shame gin isn't a HexA :roofles:)

If I remember right 45g of avocado is 3.5 syns. I would weigh it without the stone and skin.:)

Someone who does SW may be able to tell you the right syns for it.

Thanks @craftermary I too had read that, but also the higher value. I have nothing else to add today, so I don't mind. It would be good if it is lower, I have another 3 to use 😂

Avocado are good for you. I wouldn't eat them all the time as I would need to use my syns on other things some days.:)

Hope you have a good day. Off to do some workout with Joe Wicks.:)

This is mega! Thank you both for replying. I didn't think many people were still around and I really appreciate it!

@craftermary today has been a bit of an eye opener to be honest. I had a look in the fridge this morning before I went to work and I managed to get SW stuff together, despite it being shopping day! This is very achievable :)

@Ravenous I'm even more convinced that I can now that you think it too :) Isn't it funny how we work?!
Yes it is very funny/strange how we are trained to look for something that is dictated to us e.g follow a receipe or eat certain things. It takes a long time to divert from that and realise how we can utilise what we have in the cupboards and set out our eating plans around that. I am sure a lot of people have realised how they can utilise what they have in their cupboards, fridge/freezer in these hard times.

Also we always look for someone else's approval before we ca accept our own ideas, shape, plans, etc. This is the way we have been brought up (acceptable/norm of society). Once again it takes time to build self confidence to trust ourselves. Of course on the way we fall over from time to time - then that is life.

You are doing really well and don't be too hung up about using HEXs and sysns. There will be days that you eat less of them and other days more of them and at the end they balance. however, make sure you don't eat over on a regular basis (that is the way we gain).

Have a great day.

Thank you both, yet again!

@craftermary I did have a good day and I hope you did too. I have to admit, I never used to like avocados however, I couldn't be without them now! But yes, occasionally! Love a bit of Joe Wicks. Can't get my boys into it so we dance around like crazy people for 20 mins a few times a day, that helps :D Have a wonderful Wednesday :)

@Ravenous thank you! I hope you too had a great day. I know from last time that if I am too restrictive with myself, I will cave in early so it's really important that I make sure to get my cheese/milk and some syns. It fools me into thinking I can do it and I don't think I'm restricted so I make an effort to use them so that (hopefully) I will stick to it for longer :D How was your day? Have a great day tomorrow too :)

31/03/20

Morning walk - took my son, who is 5 and my 40-minute walk/20-minute jog (depending on what I do) turned into an hour+ walk, looking at the lambs and foraging for violets, which he has very kindly renamed fire butts.

Breakfast
Apple and a cup of tea (first half of Hea #1)– it was super busy this morning and I had planned to have a pink grapefruit as well, but I didn’t get time.

Coffee, black with coconut milk from Costa (other half of Hea #1) and water

Lunch
Leftover Kedgeree and an egg. Followed by coffee and water (I do try to have a bottle of water with every coffee)

Dinner
Spagbol very kindly made to the slimming world exacting requirements by my wonderful husband <3 topped with no cheese, because I just wasn’t fussed.

1.5L sugar free squash

Snacks
Heb – 20g nuts
Heba #2 – 35g blue cheese
Grapes, ham and an Oreo egg (7 syns)

I've had about 2 litres of hydrating fluid today so a little less than usual. I'll work on it again tomorrow

Do your kids do the Joe Wicks workout at 9 am?

I go for a walk at 6.15 am so i don't come in contact with any other person for now. I have so much I want to do but can't seem to get motivated to do it. Should take advantage of being home all day but I have got into Crime and once I've put a new tv one on I sit here watching the whole series.

Hope you have a good day.:)

@craftermary no, they don't. They do walk with me between 6 and 8 every morning so by 9am they are ready for breakfast. We do sometimes do phys in the evenings too, depending on how energetic they are! :) I'm still going in to work everyday so nothing has really changed for us yet. It was okay as days go. What are the things that you'd like to do at home? I'm obsessed with my books and if I were home all day I would finish the series that I'm in the middle of lol

@Ravenous we live in a rural area too and it is very easy to avoid others! We have one other person who we regularly see as we return from our morning walk, they are just leaving to begin theirs but we have an agreement.

Tea with hea

Pink grapefruit
Apple
Spag bol leftovers

20g nuts (Heb)

rice, plain boiled
Salmon half a side cooked with garlic, ginger, soy sauce and lemon and 2 sprays of Frylight
Broccoli

Halo Top 50ml 1.75 syns (2)
Caramel sauce 1 syn
2 cheese triangles 4syns
grapes
pickled onions
cherry tomatoes
hartley's jelly 10 cal wow Raspberry 1/2 syn
Hartleys jelly lime 3 syns

More tea
Ham, lots of ham! I am very hungry today

I should seriously be full by now but I can't stop eating and I am attributing it to missing breakfast.

Hope you are well.

Like you I get days that I feel so hungry and nothing can satisfy my hunger. But your diary shows you are eating well.

This morning, I had a rude awakening. Weighed myself on my new scales and it shows me 5 lbs heavier than my old one. That means I have 9 lbs to get to my target. Well this has made me determined to pay more attention to what I eat and get to my goal by 24th April (2 year anniversary of when I started this plan) - exercise wise I walk 4-5,000 steps and 10-20km exercise bike every day.

Have a fantastic day and stary positive.

@Ravenous Thanks! I did have a good day :) I only worked a half day today - I'm a keyworker and my manager is being really proactive in keeping us all well which is lovely! Thanks for looking at it, it's always good to have a spotter.
Oh no! I would find that really disappointing but remember you've not actually put on weight or had a step back. You're just on a different scale! You could just alter your goal to accommodate the new scale. In all seriousness though, you've come so far! Just a little further will be easy for you! Doing all that exercise will help, obviously. I find the exercise bike really boring. What do you do to keep yourself entertained all that time?!

Wow, we have a lot in common. I got down to near goal in 2012 and then had 2 pregnancies (2015 & 2017), actually lost quite a bit in 2018, then gained it all back in 2019. And I'm currently in school. Here's to 2020 for both of us!

@Steampunk Chic Isn't it weird?! I noticed a few years ago that like multiple choice books, all of our lives and our choices seem to be boundaried and actually whilst we all live with the illusion of choice, we are actually all very limited which results in many people having lots in common, which is nice! What are you studying? This year will be amazing, at least no-one will touch me!

I use the bike when i am talking on the phone with family & friends, when I am watching TV and learning a new language on youtube. This social isolation has made me more determined to get the excess weight off and get fitter.

Went out at lunch-time for my usual walk but there were too many people out there so I cut my walk short. I intended to do more of the bike but attended a very useful online meeting and forgot about it.

We rely on keyworker like you. Thank you for your hardwork.

Breakfast/lunch - we all had a lie in!
Scrambled eggs
Sautéed ham, mushroom, courgette, onion and super tasty vine cherry tomatoes
2 bacon medallions

Cup of tea 1/2syn for milk

Snack
Nuts HexB

Dinner
Jacket potato (microwaved)
Cottage cheese (got the wrong one, gah) 1 syn
2 babybel light and 10g cheddar - HexA
Bolognese sauce from Tuesday

Halo top (lidl) mint choc chip 3.5syns (OMG delicious)
10g chocolate sauce 1 syn

Tea 1/2syn for milk
35g Blue Cheese HexA
Ham
Syn total - 6.5

I made the most delicious looking lunch ready for tomorrow! Frozen cherries, covered in Quark flavoured with sweetener and almond essence. I'm going to crumble in a digestive too so it'll be just like a cherry bakewell!

@Ravenous that's a good idea! I would love to learn Spanish too. We usually go out at 6/6.30 and like I've said before, we normally see 1 other person tops. Today we went at about half 10 and it was awful, we saw 3 people but one person 4 times and another twice. Ugh, it was difficult controlling the dog and the children and it was stressful trying to keep everyone safe!
Thanks Ravenous, I love what I do! Thanks for staying home and making it easier to do what we do 😁

That is awesome. People keep posting couch potato pics on facebook or heavy people dancing outside saying that's what we will all look like when this is over, and that's what got me thinking . . . maybe I could do the reverse. Maybe when this is all over I could be near goal or at least noticeably thinniner. So that is my motivation at the moment -- to get that "wow, I almost didn't recognize you" transformation reaction. I have a quarantine challenge going if you want to join.

@Steampunk Chic Biblical studies sounds really interesting! What will you be able to do with it when you're done? I studied nursing and I hope to go on to do a masters in law. I have started doing some research studies and I really enjoy learning at a higher level. Didn't get on with school :roofles:

@Ravenous come, join us!

First weigh in this morning and 6lb plus is a great result. Happy with that especially as flo showed up this morning which explains my binges.
