Breakfast today was frozen cherries topped with quark and I was going to add a couple of digestives to make it like cheesecake but it didn't need them
Tea 1/2 syn
Lettuce wraps with ham and tomato and cottage cheese 3syns tops for the cottage cheese because I picked up the wrong one.
Mango

Tonight is my one meal a week where I relax the rules but luckily it is Indian this week and I'm pretty good at choosing well. Have a lovely evening all! 😘

I love your ham rolls. You are doing so well.
Yes we need to give ourselves one day a week off - I do that on Thursdays but ensure I don't go overboard. However, I hardly ever buy takeaways. Our body needs to try variety of things and also giving it a break from the usual eating plan will stop cravings and makes it work harder to burn the food it is not used to - hope makes sense.
Have a wonderful weekend.

@Ravenous I completely agree! You can probably see from my diary that I get bored easily and I frequently look for recipes to mix things up :) You do very well to avoid tekeaways! My family like to get one on a Friday and normally, I can take it or leave it but it is often just laziness that supports me in my decision to join in.

Breakfast
Tea 1/2 syn
Double chocolate Alpen Light bar - we were very busy this morning as I've been asked to work from home so we've spent all day making preparations.

Lunch
Poached eggs
Bacon medallions
Creamy garlic mushrooms (mushrooms, salt and pepper, garlic and quark) Awful, do not reccommend and I won't be doing it again. 🤢
Beans
Excellent tomatoes! :)

The other Alpen Light bar, I thought I had to have 2 to be a HeB, which I think I do. Just wan't sure about the flavour.
Pickled egg

Dinner
Salmon fillet, again <3 I could eat these everyday! I buy them frozen and boil in the bag for 12 minutes, they are perfect.
Salad made up of lettuce, bell pepper, tomoato and cucumber - I made a little dressing to go on top (1 Syn)
Onion bhaji and Samosas, stolen from my husband (2.5 for bhaji, 2 for both samosas)

Typically, or historically, my diet is 'worse'/less controlled/piggish on the weekend but I've done WAY better today than every weekend prior (A binge of 10 bags of crisps, 3 chocolate bars, full fat hot chocolate with cream and monin sauces etc etc used to be a nightly occurence). Little steps.

Snacks
Apple with peanut butter (5 Syns)
HexA's - Cheese triangles and 35g Blue Cheese
4 water biscuits (2 Syns)
Various pickles
2 more teas! (1 syn)

Wow, I thought today I'd done awfully! Hope everyone else had a wonderful day and have a great Sunday tomorrow. I'll be spending the whole day with family 💕

Breakfast
Walk and picnic! Took ham, pineapple cottage cheese and an apple. Forgot my tea and it turned out the cottage cheese was bad.
When we arrived, my youngest slipped on the mud, then he kicked over his hot chocolate, then he fell again and caked himself that time. So we headed home, via the sweet violets which the eldest now considers part of his regular diet.
When we got home, I was still starving - having only had 4 slices of ham and half an apple and NO TEA!?

Snack
Pickled egg
Banoffee pie -
Quark, flavoured with salted caramel essence and sweetner
Banana
2 digestives (7 syns! Not doing that again!)

Lunch
Ramen-
Dried noodles, mushrooms, chicken, ginger, garlic, stock and spring greens. With an egg on top (overcooked)

The afternoon was a struggle. Hubby reckons that being home, it is easier to diet and I completely and unequivocally disagree. Temptation is EVERYWHERE.

Dinner - I started early because I wanted to eat!
Chicken that I took ages preparing, took off the skin, spatchcocked it and brushed it with mustard before coating it with a mix of cayenne, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, parsley, paprika and salt and pepper. I would have just used mustard powder if I had it but I think this way worked out better. Then I covered it with foil to cook until the last 10 minutes. Delish!
I also did roast potatoes, mashed parsnip, sweetcorn, broccoli and carrots mixed (found bags in the freezer from our holiday that we didn't use. Ahh holidays, remember those?!) and Bisto gravy (3 syns)

Dessert
Halo top raspberry ripple ate the whole thing. 20 syns. Boo

For me sundays are a struggle too as mentally I feel it is a day of rest and relaxing, but I did not do too bad.

I like your dinner, it is similar to mine. I had Salmon with roasties and veg.

Have a great day.

Well done @Ravenous it's not easy being home :) Back to normality now! Mmmmmm, I adore Salmon! I got more fish today, cod and smoked haddock so think week will probably include kedgeree again 😋

Hope you've had a wonderful day too!

I did not plan for today, I think it was denial, I didn't want to 'do' today.

Breakfast - Cup of tea, Grapefruit, an apple and an Alpen Light bar (1/2 HeB)
Lunch - Jacket potato and beans from the canteen at work
Dinner - Jacket potato with HeA 3x Babybel, HeA 35g Blue Cheese, FF Cottage cheese, ham, seafood sticks, salad and pickles instead of dressing.
Snack - The other half of my HeB and a cup of tea (1/2 syn)
Walk, this evening with doggo because I didn't manage it this morning (see above re denial). Only half hour and I waited until dark because I am terrified of getting sick now.

Breakfast - Fruit salad, Kiwi, apple and grapes. Cup of tea (1/2 syn)
Lunch - Bacon and potato hash with HeA cheese, beans and an egg
Dinner - Bolognese with pasta. Quark flavoured with essence and sweetner, I experimented a bit with peppermint, lemon, vanilla and salted caramel and ate with blueberries, raspberries and strawberries
Snack - Tea (1/2 syn), ham, 3 Babybel light HeA, 20g nuts HeB, Wheat crunchies 6 syns, Half a Bueno 6 syns.

Aiming for more speed so highlighting to see where I may be able to improve.

Also, didn't walk today, first day working from home and it's been a dificult adjustment.
@Ravenous I see you didn't get the jacket potato in but man, your salad looked AMAZING! Also very interested in, well, all of your other meals too!! Hope you had a good day, your food looks delicious as always :)

You are doing really well.
Still no jacket potato as I keep coming up with a different menu. I have to remember to do it tomorrow after WI.
I love my salads as they are healthy & easy to do.
Went for some shopping for my neighbour - got my steps in but too warm for a coat & jeans. Going to start wearing dresses & skirts from tomorrow.
Have a great day.

Thank you! <3 As are you. I wouldn't be as motivated as you after as long as you have been at it and I have a lot of respect for you. I look forward to seeing that jacket tonight. Are you in the UK? It has been very warm here today. I don't have seasonal wardrobes 😂 😋

B - Apple and Grapefruit and a cup of tea (1/2 syn)
L- Noodles with Prawns, cucumber, tomatoes, lots of onion and red pepper. Flavoured with fish sauce, oyster sauce, soy sauce and lime juice and zest.
S - Pickled egg
D - Jacket potato, ham, HeA cheese, Coleslaw (1 syn), salad of Lettuce, pepper, cucumber and tomato and 2 gherkins and some beetroot
Desert - Raspberries and blueberries topped with quark flavoured with vanilla essence and sweetener. (I'm not synning the sweetener because I'm not hacking it. That's what I make of that rule anyway!) didn't get a picture because it was too delicious.

I've been arguing with my husband today and I want nothing more than to go to bed with crisps, crackers and a block of cheese and eat myself into a food coma. Really sad and not looking forward to the weekend. Today was a better day speed food wise. I shall continue to put in the effort. I like frozen blueberries.

I like the look of all your meals. I'm just getting back into salad.
I've not had a pickled egg for years. Used to eat them with a packet of crisps. :)

I have never had a pickled egg.
Your food looks delish.
Once I decided to lose weight, I made a deal with myself that this has to be a life long plan. Like everyone else I binge eat from time to time but I get back on track again as I don't want to go back being fat.
Yes I am in South West of UK. It was very warm here too & I understand it will continue to the weekend.
I have put a potato on the worktop so I won't forget to have jacket potato for lunch tomorrow.
Be strong and not sabatage your eating plan when you are upset or in a bad mood. Unfortunately emotional eating is one of the reasons we put on weight.💪💪

Thank you! I don't think I could eat just salad. I like to keep it mixed up. I couldn't live without pickled eggs. They are awesome, I could eat enough to do some damage in a very short space of time, hehehe!

You're missing out @Ravenous, well, I think you are! Hehe. Thank you :) That's a good minsdset to go forward with. I might order a pool for the weekend and just relax in the sun with my feet up. This week, and last week actually, have been tough - looking forward to 4 days off! Can't wait to see what you do with it!
I was strong, I had some seafood sticks with a bit of soy sauce and a satsuma so didn't do too badly :)
Tomorrow is a new day, as they say. Have a great one all 🤞

B - Blueberry wheats (HeB) with 170ml whole milk (part HeA), an apple, a plum and a satsuma (437 calories)
L - Smoked haddock salad with the coleslaw from yesterday (197)
D - Stirfry with chicken, courgette, carrot, onion, mushrooms, HeB of cashews. On vermicelli noodles. Flavoured with fish sauce, oyster sauce, lime juice and zest, 3tsp sugar (for the whole thing), soy sauce, chinese 5 spice... I think that's all. It was lovely. I had my fruit with quark thing with berries again for dessert <3 Delish! (1097 calories!)
S - Other part of my HeA on 2 cups of tea (included in calories from breakfast). Large seafood stick (57 cals)

Exercise - walk this morning, I have a new route and I didn't see anyone so I will be doing it again.

Not actually altering calories at this point. Just noting. However, I do feel guilty after dinner as it was almost all of my daily calories in just one meal. I don't think I will have a loss tomorrow, I have been sneaky weighing and I was more today. I'm prepared to be devastated and off the wagon in a serious way. I've resisted evrything this week, made the effort and it's only week 2 so I should still be seeing good losses. Hmm, we shall see.
