Like to giggle
I'd like to introduce myself
My name is Jess, I'm 20 years old and I'm a little bit fat.
After lots of chocolate and chinese food consumption, in Feb 2009 I weighed a very unhappy, uncomfortable 12 stone 8lbs. Although I was in denial to how big I actually was, I hated myself and decided to do something about it. I started on the Cambridge Diet, and within 12 weeks I shed 36lbs and got down to a healthy 10 stone. FABULOUS I thought... I'm slim, look great and in a size 10 pair of jeans. Wonderful...
Actually, it turned out it wasn't so wonderful. Since reaching 10 stone in May '09 I have been on and off that diet for england and my weight has been up and down (as my mum would say) like a brides nighty. Although I've never been heavier than 11 stone 7lbs, I'm not happy that I go straight back to my old ways after losing the weight, putting it all back on again and then resorting to the same quick fix that I KNOW doesn't work longterm.
Cambridge is bloody brilliant for getting the weight off, don't get me wrong. Each time i'd lose 7 or 8lbs in my first week - lovely jubbly, but then I'd give up after a week or two and eat all the wrong things - never allowing myself to get to target.
Hence why I'm here!
(woo)
I know my weight problems are deeper than just "getting the weight off", it's all in my mess of a head ...
I need a diet that teaches me about food, losing weight and KEEPING it off. I'm sick and tired of quick fixes - messes my head up big time and it's a constant battle.
I've chosen weight watchers as I know people who have been very successful in losing weight and keeping it off - I've also been inspired by the stories on here and also on the website, so thank you for sharing.
The only hiccup is that I can't start until Friday 22nd Oct as this is when I get paid - I paid for my Cambridge products a week or so ago and still have some left so they need to be used. (I well and truly want to bury the Cambridge Diet - I just can't justify throwing them away...they cost too much :sigh: )
I've ordered my little "shop" book off of amazon so I can check points etc so I'm all set for next Friday where I will get my online shopping delivered and get started! I'll weigh in/measure then too so will let you know the damage.
Exciting. I'm finally going to say buh-bye to the flab.
Thanks for listening, looking forward to chatting to you on here!
Luv Jess xx
