My pharmacy have one lady that comes in once a month to buy 7 maintenance shakes. I don't know her personally but they said she is has done this for quite a long time and been successful. Most of their clients don't even get to the refeeding stage.
Lets face it, unless we mentally change, the bad food habits will still be there after LT and there is a high risk of putting some or all the weight back on. If you keep doing the same old thing, how can you expect a different outcome? I firmly believe the only way to conquer this is to sort your head out. Easier said than done, don't get me wrong. We all have great intentions, but unless you are prepared to make the changes by whatever means you need ie seeing a counsellor/therapist/hypnotherapist etc to help you solve your underlying issues, you're standing on the edge of a slippery slope. Don't neglect your head while doing LT. Make use of the time and research yourself and be truthful however painful your reasons are for being overweight. It will be the only way to help you move forward in a positive way.
I know I will continue to need support for a very long time to come. Ingrained regimes take time and effort to make the necessary changes.
Sorry this wasn't meant as a sermon. More a kick in my own pants to be vigilant x x x
