I made this chocolate mousse this evening and it is nice. Of course it is never going to be as nice as a full fat one with real chocolate but it was nice and fairly quick to make.
I did a search on the forum but can't see this paricular recipe already posted.
200g fat free natural yoghurt
3 tsps of cocoa (1.5 syns)
3 tsps of sugar (3 syns)
gelatine
2 eggs
Make gelatine up in jug as directed.
Mix the yoghurt, cocoa and sugar in a bowl using a spoon, until blended in.
Seperate 2 egg whites and place in a seperate bowl. Mix the yokes in with the yoghurt mix until smooth. Then add the gelatine and mix again.
Beat the egg whites with a whisk until foamy and you can form peaks. Then fold the yoghurt mix in to the egg whites until all mixed together.
Divide the mixture between small dishes, this will make 3 generous portions or 4-5 smaller portions.
Chill until set.
I topped mine with broken pieces of frozen raspberries.
If divided by 3 it will be 1.5 syns per serving, even less if you divide between more servings.
According to the recipe, for a creamier more chocolately taste you can add a tbsp of nutella. You need to melt it slightly first and mix it in with the yoghurt and other ingredients. That would add 4 syns to the whole recipe so you would need to divide that between the number of portions you do.
This wouldn't be suitable for pregnant women due to the raw eggs.
