My SW consultant posted this on our group facebook, so I thought it would be a good start for a countdown to Christmas thread.

I like the idea of 2lb a week - as there are 13 weigh ins lefts, that's now 26lbs almost 2st lighter for Christmas.

Copy and paste the list in the post above yours, then add your name, your target and how you do each weigh-in.

13 weigh ins and no holidays between me and the end of the year...15.5lbs would get me back to where i was before life happened 4 months ago and i started eating crap again...22.5lbs would get me my first and only shiny certificate in 2014 after faffing about going up and down so much this year, and 23lbs would get me into the 11's...ambitious, yes, but possibly doable? I'll try my best!

Okay so my first weigh in on this challenge has gone the wrong direction as I was up a half this week :( (had a very good weekend though ;-) ;-) ) will have a loss for next week :D :D

Och a wee half will be gone next week don't you worry about it.

I am dreading WI this week been soooooooooooooooooooooooooo bad all weekend.

Hoping that by the time Saturday comes around it will all sort itself out.

Thanks Dolly Rocker :) I'm not worried at all, I know exactly where it came for (*cough* cocktails :p ) but that's the thing about a Monday weigh in, not much time to pull back after a mad weekend :/
 
I'm not feeling overly hopeful about Thursday WI this week either. Went out to O2 Friday night with best made plans to go to nandos before the Lee Evans show. However queue was out the door as were most places, except the Chinese. So I ended up in the buffet restaurant impossible to count the syns. Then (had to have) popcorn in the show. We didnt gwt out the carpark til 1:15, so ended up hungry at 2am in the mcdonalds drive thru on the way home. Then hubby surprised me with breakfast in bed the next morning. (Syns for sausages, black pudding, farmhouse toast).

My dad provided a roast dinner Sunday and although I ate the free bits, he lashed it with gravy before I could stop him.

Now its looking like my star week will be coinciding with all that and I've been insatiably craving (but denying myself) chocolate.

Hopefully I can pull it back by Thursday evening. We will see!

Well done Amy and Dolly.... Amazing losses there :D :D great start :D :D

Did ye do anything different that lead to such losses, or is that usual??? I normally just loose a pound or two :/
 
It was my first week, so I don't think it will always come off that quickly. I'm a relatively new convert to scan bran (I can only stomach it once a week, because it makes me feel fairly bloated afterwards!) but that appears to make a difference. Other than that, drink LOTS of water and as much superfree as you can. One thing I did last time which I'm trying to actively cut down on is making MASSIVE plates of food when I wasn't even that hungry just because it was a meal time and the stuff was free and still eat myself into oblivion. I'm trying to make proper portion sizes and just eat until I'm not hungry anymore and then stop. It sounds stupid, but maybe that's part of the reason.
 
First week does seem to be good for a lot of people :). I'm pretty good at keeping the water levels up, well during the week anyway, bottle always on the desk sipping away. I think you may be onto something with the portion sizes though. It's tends to get overlooked, sometimes making sure I have enough superfree leads to a massive plate of food, which I really don't need to finish. I'm gonna keep an eye on that for the next couple weeks, see if it might help :)
