5:2ing. Ruth's Journey!

Hello!

Did JUDDD diet a couple of years back and did really well so I am doing 5:2 as of tomorrow. My doctor weighed me on Friday as 93kg and threatened to put me on Orlistat to sort myself out. My BMI is at 30.3 due to me being 5,9.
I have quite a bit to lose, starting at 14 stone 7, and looking to get down to 11 stone (and then taking it from there!) I will be weighing Friday's and looking at fasting on Monday and Wednesday as I find this easier :)

I am on a very tight budget so this needs to work for me :) looking forward to starting anyway!

Oh and by the way, I'm Ruth, 24 from Harrogate in North Yorkshire. I work in wetherby and walk around 40 minutes a day. I live in a lovely flat with my very supportive partner. I fell badly in April 2014 and have put over 2 stones in weight on :/ so this is for me, my back and my knees!

My goal is my birthday 12/08/2015 when I will be 25. Quite a big ask but I'm up for it :)

I forgot it's Monday (not used to having time off but moved house!!!) So will be fasting tomorrow and Wednesday!

Quick trip to Asda:

Scales! (Eeek I will not turn into a scale hopper....)
Mini Kievs (49 cals each)
Hartleys S/F Jelly (16 cals per 1/2 sachet)
Tuna (68 per 1/2 tin)
Eggs (boiled 75 cals)
And lots of lovely lean meats and veg for my other 5 days along with some yummy sauces!!

Feeling excited already....

This is my lunch (there is a pear missing as an afternoon snack!!)

50g Asda Herb Salad = 14
1/2 tin John West no drain tuna (spring water) = 68
1tsp Asda French Dressing = 16
2 Pears (Morning & Afternoon Snack) = 47 x 2 = 94
1/2 Pint Hartleys Lemon & Lime Sugar free Jelly= 16

Then:

Breakfast:
Black Coffee = 4
Boiled Egg = 75

Dinner,
4x Mini Kievs = 196
1/2 Pint Hartleys Lemon & Lime Sugar free Jelly= 16

Today is a normal day:

2 Tsps Olivio Light = 50
Black Coffee = 4
1% Milk Allowance = 40

Lunch... tbc. Being taken out for lunch by work!!!

I had a lovely pear, McDonald's black coffee and a mug shot piri piri for lunch (so much for being taken out!!!)

Then when I got in I got 2 chicken breasts, a red onion, 2 peppers, mushrooms and sprayed some frylight and made fajitas. We had a pack I think old el Paso? But I don't like the salsa so we used the spice rub and I had 3 wraps with a bit of grated lighter cathedral city, French mustard and 0% fat Greek Yogurt. It was lovely :)

Just sat with some Greek Yogurt, Honey and a black coffee. I love how doing this automatically changes my eating habits, no matter if I'm on a fasting day or not!

I'm doing lighterlife at the mo but find these 5:2 threads really interesting because that's how I plan to maintain. Also LL threads are completely dead! You're doing fab x
 
Well done on your first fast Ruth, you get a lot for your 500 cals!! I always eat really easy stuff on fasts like cereal bars...I need to get more creative!

Thank you! I know that if I didn't make it as normal as possible I wouldn't do it. 3 meals so I fit in with everyone. When I remove myself from normality with what I eat then I always fail!!
I just think about how I can transform my normal meals :) plus I love doing it, especially the jelly!!!!
