Advice Please

Hi, I have just ordered the bumper pack and it should be here Wednesday. I have been on Slimfast since February and have lost 10 inches off my waist since my biggest and dropped from 17stone 6pounds to 12stone 12 pounds this weekend. What I am wondering is Total solutions ok if you work full time, I do have a sedate job mainly sitting but need to concentrate for long periods of time. I also go on treadmill 6 nights a week and do a 1.5 brisk walk, I was doing 20 minutes weights, 60 sit ups & 200 press ups but found I stopped losing any weight.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Welcome Heysham:welcome2:

Congratulations with your terrific weight loss on SF! Well done:happy096:

You probably find in the first week on Total Solution that you are running to the toilet more frequently as you lose water that is stored in your glycogen stores... not sure if it this would be to the same extent for you if you are coming straight from Slim Fast to Exante Total Solution as your glycogen store is probably pretty low.

You do have to drink 2.5litres/4 pints of water in addition to the water used to mix your shakes and it can take a few days to get use to drinking this amount of water.

As for physical activity it is recommended to only do gently exercise like walking for the first week or two to give your body time to adjust to being on Total Food Replacement and after this period, gentle to moderate intensity exercise is encouraged but if you want to do rigorous exercise at a gym or you are in training for a sports event, you should not be following a TFR diet as the calories are too low...if you email Exante they would be able to advise you much better than I can as this information I have is what is recommended on the Cambridge Weight Plan as regards exercise although it is probably the same for Exante but to make sure best to email them and see what they advise.

Here is a link to help you put up a weight loss ticker, just click on the link and it will show you step by step how to do it.

Good luck with Exante!

Hi Mini,
Thank you for reply, I drink water throughout the day and normally 3 pints when I get home, I also restrict myself to 2 coffees a day. Do I have to cut out milk altogether? the milk we use is 1%. I'm used to going to the loo regularly with the amount I drink but does Exante give you uncontrollable runs in any way as most of my day is spent in vehicles without the option to stop at loo's.

Thank you for the link too.

That link had me worried "Conceive" I'm male and had the snip that's not going to happen, but found it in the end, Thank you.

On Exante Total Solution I think it says no milk but for the small bit that you add to two cups of coffee I don't think that will make much difference. I am actually doing CD SSing + which is four shakes plus 200ml of skimmed milk and I am in ketosis.

As I said if you are coming straight from Slim Fast to Exante your glycogen stores are probably very low as it is... so it would be unlikely you will have to pee much more than usual unless the increase in water is more than you were use to before on SF but your body will get use to it.

By uncontrollable runs do you mean diarrhea...some people can experience this in the first few days as their body gets use to the vitamins and minerals in the diet but as you were already on shakes I doubt this will occur with you. Don't eat more than one Exante bar a day along with your shakes as the bars might do it...
