It does slow down loss - but if you can stick to spirits and diet mixers. Gin and slimline tonic, vodka diet coke etc. Wine, beer etc are definitely worse.
I know it's against the rules but I'm 24 and going out is quite a big part of my social life. I try and stick to those drinks and not have too many!
Also try to stick to plan with the food! Avoid the midnight kebab!!... Or my case bagel!!
