You may have seen this developing on other groups today but if not, this is important information.
Weetabix who make Alpen Light cereal bars have changed the recipe and the new formulation is higher in calories and has less than half the amount of fibre. From the nutritional info available the new bars will be 4.5 syns and not have enough fibre in them to count as a healthy extra anymore.
As this has just come about over the last 24 hours there is no official confirmation from Slimming World yet but watch this space as it will only be a matter of time.
Weetabix say that there are still lots of old stock available but as these run out they will be replaced with the new recipe bars. The picture below shows the difference in packs.
If, like me, you get through a lot of Alpen Light bars then you may want to express your unhappiness with the change by emailing them on [email protected] or leave a message on their FB page.
