Flubber Buster
Okay, so I've been doing Atkins Induction for almost a week now and I'm pretty sure I'm doing everything right, but I just wanted to make sure. I'm still not 100% confident with the legal foods yet, but I think I'm getting there. Anyways, here's a couple of day menus from this week for example.
Day 3
Breakfast
BLT Wraps (1½ c Lettuce, Bacon, ½ c Tomatoes, 2T Mayo)
Lunch
Grilled Chicken
Salami Wraps (Salami, 2T Cream Cheese)
2 stalks Celery
Dinner
Steak fried in Butter
Green Vegetables (½ c Broccoli, ½ c Green Beans)
Cauliflower Mash (1½ c Cauliflower, 1oz Cheddar Cheese)
Snacks
Pork Scratchings
Beef Biltong
Day 5
Breakfast
Bacon
Scrambled Eggs (2 Eggs, 1oz Cheddar Cheese)
Lunch
Chicken Salad
(Grilled Chicken, 1c Lettuce, 1c Rocket, ½ c Cucumber, 6 Radishes, 1 stalk Celery, 2 Boiled Eggs, 1T Mayo)
Dinner
Pork Loins
2 Eggs
1c Mushrooms
Side Salad (½ c Rocket, ½ c Cucumber, 1 lrg Tomato)
Snacks
Sugar Free Jelly & Cream
Pepperami
Day 6 (Today)
Breakfast
Atkins Bar
Lunch
Tuna Wraps (2 c Lettuce, 1 can Tuna, 2T Mayo, ½ c Cucumber, 3 Radishes, 1 stalk Celery, 2T Onion)
Cheesestring
Dinner
Salmon fillets fried in butter
6 spears Asparagus wrapped in Bacon
1c Cabbage & 1 clove Garlic sauteed in Olive Oil
Snacks
Sugar Free Jelly & Cream
Pepperami
Beef Biltong
I'm pretty sure I'm not going over my daily carb allowance and I think I'm getting enough vegetables, but I really just wanted to be sure before I carry on.
I'm not sure I'm in Ketosis yet, though. From what I read I probably should be by now, but I haven't noticed any of the signs that others have mentioned and I don't have the Ketostix (Where do I get them from, by the way?). I guess all I can do is plod along and hope for the best
