You don't have to eat meat on either EE or the red plan. I'm vegetarian and have done the odd red day but its not something I enjoy doing I must admit xx

Green is not agreeing with my crohns so figured I will try red

Think I'll be less sick without pasta or rice

Gonna give it a whirl! Thanks for the input x

I'd be interested to see how you get on, my losses have stalled and I've considered doing Veggie Red although I imagine it's very restrictive x

Only been a couple days but so far good! Tummy happier

Not really restrictive as can use b choice for measured pasta /potatoes if you want

Im avoiding both for now

If you are following red and not eating meat, where is your protein coming from?
I really don't think this is a very balanced eating plan and not really something I think SW or a consultant would recommend.

Just my thoughts.

As long as they are eaten each day.
I just don't get it, it's not what the original plan is for and, as a consultant, I would never recommend it and can't see anything in our info to do so.

Each to to their own :)

There are plenty of sources of protein available for veggies - tofu, quorn, soya mince, eggs, cheese, pulses, lentils etc etc most vegetarian would eat any number of the above every day.

I used to be a veggie but not anymore, just done a red day, its more about limiting your carbs rather than eliminating them. Have you tried cauliflower rice? Everyone is raving about it. As long as each day does contain a good balance of protein, carbs, healthy fats, fruit and vegetables then I don't see why you can't do it?

Pulses and lentils wouldn't be free on red though. I didn't realise about quorn, I was thinking more pulses etc.
personalky I would follow green and limit carbs rather than restricting all green free foods, which you do on original.

Anyway, as said, just my thought.

My consultant suggested cutting out Superfree which I did. I however gained and couldn't sustain long term

I can tolerate certain fruit or veg but not when combined with the pasta/rice very well. I tried sticking with green I was very bloated and vomiting all the time

I know sw is good just takes some tweaking for my own health conditions!

Know it might sound odd! But green with no Superfree wasn't working out for me either - that was my consultants advice
