Blender and ice

Mooshing back
This morning I used my first blender for the first time, to crush ice to make a chocolate shake. In my mind I was aiming for kind of McD milkshake kind of texture but I got just very cold water! It was nice though, a very nice shake that I'll get again.

I used a tray of icecubes (well, ice fish. Its a silocone thing from IKEA!) then added slightly less than the proper amount of water and blitzed. Cold water with a bit of floaty ice. Added the sachet and blitzed again. Lovely and cold but thats easily acheived without spending £25 on a blender!

Any tips, hint anyone? I have a caramel and a vanilla shake I want to try it with too!
