Breakfast

Really struggle to get breakfast in...I am just not hungry at all. I need to eat brekkie I know as I will have to wait till lunch to eat again...Its just amazing how much my appetite has decreased...
 
Morning Letsget... Maybe just have a little nibble of something legal? But Jim always says only eat when you're hungry... Xx
 
It's true! I have found out I'm far less hungry on Atkins.
I used to get terrible cravings when eating carbs, but now I'm doing this I haven't had those cravings.
Maybe a couple of boiled eggs would help, or scrambled? x
 
The only thing I can face first thing is my mug of coffee with double cream - I'm not even human till I've had that :cool: - but that seems to keep me going a surprisingly long time.

I know others may say differently, and it isn't "by the book" to effectively skip breakfast, but if I had to force-feed myself, that would make the diet unsustainable for me, so I don't! :D
 
Hi Scrumbles i wouldn't worry about skipping breakfast i can't face food early in the morning either :( I just have a coffee then when i get into work a cheese stick & a handful of nuts. Not the healthiest of choices granted but it works for me. I'm 5weeks into atkins & still going strong so i figure it can't be that bad.

I never usually have breakfast either - just can't face anything early on a morning, so I just grab some baby bels or something for a mid morning snack.

love the idea of putting cream in coffee though - never actually thought about it!
 
Sometimes if I don't fancy breakfast... I usualy have a glass of warm water, with some slices of fresh lemon in. My friend says that this will kick start your metabolism for the day without the need to eat breakfast!
 
I'm not hungry until about 10am and usually take bacon and eggs with me and heat them up. The breakfast muffins are good too :)
