Brown mince first?

Hi everyone, I'm making a bolognaise in the slow cooker. Would you guys brown the mince first or just throw it all in and turn it on? Thanks in advance x:)
 
Thank you Hun, I've browned it first and I'm glad I did as it meant I could drain lots of fat off before it went in the slow cooker xx
 
I always brown the meat first, hope you used low fat mince or extra lean?
When I use the slow cooker I cook the food in a saucepan and place it in the slow cooker when all the ingredients are in it.
Pre-heat the slow cooker, then add the ingredients, turn to "low" and you can then go to work!

Yes on the mince front, the only mince which is syn free is the extra lean. Trouble is that it is the most expensive too! ;(
