Cambridge girl on Cambridge diet!

Hi Everyone,

Well I have joined for some support and inspiration after reading forums the past three days.

I am on day 3 of Sole Source, Please tell me it gets better!?

Been drinking loads of water and a bit worried about my first weigh in on Thursday! I don't feel any different... in the early days... having awful headaches and nausea and slept most of yesterday! Oh, and fruits of the forest shakemake anyone else gag!?

Starting date 23.03.12:
15 stone exactly (HOW DID THAT HAPPEN!? 3 years at uni and 3 stone on?

Aiming for a just over a stone a month (ish):
23.04.12
13 stone 12lbs

23.05.12
12 stone 10lbs

23.06.12
11 stone 7lbs

23.07.12
GOAL WEIGHT! 10 stone 7

So, I aim on sticking to SS for two weeks on soups and shakes then in a couple of weeks replace a shake or soup with a bar (When my consultant lets me!!) I aim to do that for another two weeks then after that have soup/shake for two meals and fish/chicken with steam veg as a meal.

When I am 2 stone down I will try picking up jogging again, right now I am too heavy for my knees and a previous foot injury it would seem!

People who are ahead of me, is this achievable? I NEED SUPPORT!

thank you xxxx

Hi Annie and welcome. Stick with it, it will get easier. I am just into week 5 of SS and have lost 20 lbs in the first 4 weeks. Once you get used to it, it becomes routine and you won't feel hungry. In my case I have still craved certain things and I did go off track on a couple of occasions but it was my birthday!

I still want to lose another stone and a half. My CDC said a stone a month is realistic, so stick to your goals I say.

I found drinking the water and not actually chewing on anything hardest at the beginning. Now I am including a bar a day and it is almost like a treat! I chop one I to teeny pieces and it lasts for ages.

This forum is amazing for support and advice. Good luck!

Totally achievable. I'm on day 55 of ss, down 32lbs (plus whatever I lose at tomorrow's weigh in), feel fine, in control & happy. There are days that are harder than others, but right now, this is my routine & food is something I just don't do! First few days make you feel physically rough, I found the second week mentally tough, but after that it's fine. Stick with it, good luck.

Completely envy you both sticking at it so long! I found the first and second days the worst- people have an oasis of water in the desert, mine was an oasis of food. I have been mentally torturing myself thinking of all my favourite things!

Today I am in a much better mindset and adjusting well! Keep forcing the water down!

I cant wait for the bars! Just to have something solid! Are they SS or one step up?

Thank you for your replies ladies xxxx

They are ss but not allowed for first 2 weeks. I find smelling food & cooking for bf is fine & easier than trying to stay away.
