I've been atkins off and on the last couple years. Mainly Atkins and low carb in fact, I did VLCD 2 years ago for a few months. Anyway two and a half years ago when I weighed 5 stone more I had my cholesterol taken and it was 5.1. 5.1 is "ok" but not really.
Last week I had the test taken again and it has dropped to 4.2! Just shows that atkins can lower cholesterol and gives reassurance when we are eating fats in with our meals.
On that note I've jumped ship, just temporary though, I'll be back. I tried dukan for a few days, couldn't get used to it but I guess I didn't give it much time. Anyway I have switch to SnS and a low carb meal until I go on my holidays which is in 2 1/2 weeks, I really want to get my last few pounds off or at least give me a weight loss boost.
