Hi
I'm here for a little encouragement as I try to shift some of my excess fat. I'm male, 5ft 8 and a bit and I'm sat at my heaviest ever of 95-100kg (depending on when I weigh myself). I was a skinny thing until the age of 25, when I started gaining and haven't really stopped since. I'm 36 now.
I do exercise, but not as much as I should. I cycle, and have a gym in my garage that I need to recommission as it got filled up with crap over Christmas.....
I weight train intermittently, and am looking to start again properly asap. It was only 2 years or so ago that I was down to low 80kgs with a fair bit more muscle, but you all know how quickly motivation can disappear.
Diet has always been my problem. I've always eaten too much, but as a younger man I could get away with it. I know that 100kg may not sound that much to some people but I carry it all around my middle and it affects my general health quite a bit, with back problems and breathing difficulties. I stopped smoking 3 weeks ago, and have gained 5kg since then. My frame is not built to carry what I'm carrying!
There are many people worse off than me, with much more fat to shift and with worse health issues, but I'm here because we all have the same goal and encouragement helps everyone!
My general plan will be low carb as, whilst I don't always find it easy to stick to, I do at least know that it works for my body. I have a good idea of how and when to train as well.
What I need to fix is my ability to stick to it until I get to where I want to be, and I'm really hoping that this forum can help me with that!
