Day three and doing OK

Hi All
I am on day three of TS and feeling OK actually. I was dreading today after reading all your posts about days 3/4 but I must admit not being hungry at all yet - was last night in bed though, very rumbly tummy.
Had a chocolate shake for brekky, hot with a bit of coffee in it. Very yummy. I do find though that I have to drink a glass of water after each pack as it stops me feeling a bit queasy (not sure of the spelling here :)).
Anyway, quick question everyone, how do I know when Ketosis has kicked in? I am doing TS but having my first cuppa in the morning with a dribble of skimmed milk so hope this isn't slowing it down too much - I drink Peppermint tea or oxo if I want something hot the rest of the day.

Hi Sue, well done for getting through the first few days.

Oxo isn't one of the approved drinks on Exante so best to get the Marigold Reduced Sodium Bouillon, that's recommended,(the one with the purple lid) just in case it affects your ketosis. The kick on of ketosis is different for everyone, for me I feel awful the day before and then wake up the next morning feeling better, I usually have a really metallic taste in my mouth as well. I use the ketostix, although some people say they are unreliable I haven't found that and usually find I am in by the morning of day 4. The only little thing I would say is that don't be surprised if you feel a bit rough on day 5, for me that was the absolute worst day, then I felt really ropey on day 9 as well, so it might take a week or 2 to feel completely normal again. The worst thing was I wasn't prepared for it and it made me wobble a bit.
