Desktop pc VDU wont come on.

Any pc experts out there ?

Switched on desktop pc toight and the screens not coming on :sigh:, it starts to..comes up with the usual flash of the make of the pc, but then goes black. No windows sign in screen.

The main hard drive seems to be working ok.

Any one shed any light as to what may be wrong ?

Eek. Sounds like it's broke

Have you tried starting it in safe mode to see if that works.

Turn off computer (if it hasn't turned itself off already), then turn on again. As it restarts, press F8. See if it gives you a chance to open in Safe mode.

These things can usually get sorted out.

what you suggested has done the trick. Thank you ever so much. Such a simple solution and it worked brilliantly.!!

I am now typing this in from it.

I had got visions of a new pc or an expensive repair job.
