Diabetes

Is anyone who is disabetic follwing this diet? After 9 months on it i have been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. My sister who is diabetic live on carbs but other things ive read suggest that a low carb diet is the way to go. i woudl like to stay on Dukan..probably in consolidated and then stabilisation (on consoldiated now) ANy thoughts?

Hi Caz

I'm not diabetic and I'm not claiming any expertise, but given Dukan's avoidance of sugar, I would have thought that it would be a good diet to follow for those pre-disposed/diagnosed with diabetes.

Thanks Pauline that was really hlepful. i thought that would be the case but its a bit of a bummer to be diagnosed after ive cut down carbs for 10 months! I am being sent on a course but dont expect too much from it
