Doctors

Hi all

Just out of interest I was wondering what kind of reaction/advice everyone on TFR has had to from doctors? I am just coming to the end of day 4 and have decided to carry on for the foreseeable future but I have a few niggling concerns at the back of my mind!

I decided to see my own doctor before I signed up, not because of any existing health worries but just to get peace of mind really. She encouraged me all the way when I raised concerns over Lipotrim's safety etc and said the only thing that should stop me doing it is if I don't think I have the willpower and think it would make me miserable.

I then saw a different doctor a few days later (1 day into the diet, as it happens) and she basically told me that I shouldn't touch it with a bargepole unless I wanted to develop further health problems in the future!

Now I have done so much research into this before starting it and came to the conclusion that for me, personally, the benefits would far outweigh the risks and that I am probably putting my body under as much strain with 4 extra stone as I would be by doing TFR. I am just curious as to what others have been told by their doctors and if this has changed your thoughts for the better or worse?

Cheers!

Hi SJ my doctor doesn't even know I'm doing this diet. It didn't even cross my mind to tell him.

lost 48.5lbs in 8 weeks

If it was soo risky to be on this diet then pharmacys wouldnt be selling it (is not like its a craze on the internet) - also its been up and running since 2000 i think so it anything wasnt healthy about it im sure it wouldnt be aloud to be sold anymore

Doctors are not super geniuses who knows everything there is to know about everything. They're wrong all the time about even basic diagnoses. Chances are neither of the doctors you saw had even heard of Lipotrim before you told them about it and the chances they've done any research into it is very slim indeed.

Myself and countless other have done this diet with great success and it has allowed us to live healthy lifestyles. I finished Lipotrim a few weeks ago and now I'm doing 10km runs 3/4 times a week and am in the shape of my life. There's no way anyone can tell me I have more health problems now than I did when my BMI was 35.

I told mine after I did four weeks and was on a break and he said it was fine for a kick start but wouldnt like to see me on it for a long time

I agree have read loads and can't see any risks. My start Bmi of 39 is dangerous & its great to see that lowering every week not to mention the inches dropping off. It's a fab way to lose weight as u get all the nutrients minerals etc u need I look so healthy!! I think you risk more bring obese

Lipotrim is not just run in chemists, it is also run in GP surgeries as well (check the lipotrim.co.uk website) so in fact there are a large number of GPs who fully support and condone the programme. It is medically verified and very safe and would not be run by countless GPs and pharmacies across the country if it wasn't - though of course there are risks with everything if you analyse them hard enough. In my personal opinion, anyone who tries to discourage LT does not fully understand how it works and is filling the gaps in their knowledge with incorrect assumptions.
