Egg fried rice

Ow do u guys make urs?
 
Hi Sarah. I just cook my rice according to instructions. Then drain it, let it cool put it back on the heat crack an egg into it and beat it til the egg is cooked. I'm not sure if it's right or if there is a better way! X
 
Y do u have to let it cool?
 
Ok. Had no eggs left after lunch so just had brown rice with my curry! I am gonna try and do egg fried rice soon tho!
 
yes you need to let the rice cool first, I add egg, soy sauce, spring onions, peppers, muchrooms, anything thats in the fridge...

That sounds really nice, might do this for lunch tomorrow, how long does the rice need to cool for?
 
Let it go cold Hun, and make sure it is dry.. I usually cook rice, empty in a sieve poor cold water over it give it shake then add soy sauce to add colour.

If you put rice back in pan when it's holding water your fried rice will be soggy !

Make sure you add oil to pan and heat it before adding your rice :)

Yes Thankyou, gonna get the ingredients then deff make this! Thankyou for the tips
 
i just cook whatevers going in it first (like onions, meat etc) then bung in the egg, almost as if you were making an omelette, and just keep stirring it up, then add the rice (hot or cold, you just have to cook it longer if its cold, or microwave beforehand).

I'm a one pot wonder, if it can be cooked with at little effort as possible i'll do it :p
