Does anyone exercise what do you do?

I Almost passed out at gym today. Can see why not advised to do cardio. I did an intense cardio 5min warm up and it sent me giddy! Was ok with weights but won't be doing that interval warm up again!

Having an egg now to give me a boost lol! (Part of my meal later just having it early!) xx

I did body pump last night. Felt totally fine but got a row from my councillor today. She said just gentle exercise on SS (whatever that means) and if I want to go to the gym I'd need to move up a step, which I don't want to do ATM x

My CDC said it was bc if you burn the small amount of calories you consume then your brain is running on nothing. So it did make sense! But maybe I'm just weak bc everyone seems to exercise. I was fine when my hr came back to normal and I continued with the weights but no more cardio! X

I was probably fine because it was body pump so no jumping around. Was wanting to go back to body attack/combat tho but maybe not then. I just assumed my body would use the ample fat store it has for energy. Tho maybe not. Who knows x

Yeah I intend to do a body conditioning class but think Ill give anything cardio a miss (I'm a regular spinner and runner normally) but think ill pass! X

I went up to step 3 to start running. The weight comes off a bit slower but I'm losing a lot more inches and I feel really great. I eat more on my run days and less on my rest days (I usually swim on those days but I'm not very good at it!)

I'm missing spin I have to say. But can't run. Wish I could. I'm booked in for body pump again this week and body conditioning (mix of yoga, Pilates and tai chi). That should be fine. See how I get on and maybe build it up each week x

Aaah swimming. That should be fine eh. Go you running RachaelJane. I too wouldn't mind a slightly slower weight loss and still exercise. No point being slim, yet still unfit. Plus I've lots of weight to loose. I know il be left with loose skin, but would like to minimise it, if you know what I mean.
Ps envy you being able to run. Even when I was slim I could never run. I'm a classes/swim girl x

Swimming's definitely a good one for toning without straining the knees too much! Only trouble is I'm 8 miles from the nearest pool and by the time I've spent petrol and entrance fee it's costing me about £8 a time... I get bored in the pool after about half an hour so it's not very cost effective! I think in the winter I'll join the gym there as you get free swimming and group classes with the membership and I'll get a reduced student rate, so it will make it worth going more (and save me braving the icy roads!).
I'm chuckling at your 'run envy' as I used to feel the same about everyone I saw exercising. I've had an orthopaedic problem with my feet all my life and it's caused problems with my stability and my knees/hips/spine are all out of line. Just walking the dogs made everything hurt for days after. So goodness knows what I was thinking when I suddenly had the bright idea to go running... insane. But it's forced me to get everything tested and get the right supports and stability shoes etc. and to do all the muscle exercises I've been taught (but never bothered doing) to strengthen me up and get everything back in line. Just ran a 5k yesterday and I have the least knee pain I've ever had in my life - which feels very strange! I still can't believe I couldn't walk up the stairs without stopping for breath just 6 weeks ago. I don't care if I never lose another 1lb in weight as long as I never, ever let myself get back in such a state of unfitness again!
But sorry, back to swimming and classes - I think that's a good idea, even if you just have an extra shake before the exercise so that you've got a few carbs to burn while you're jumping around, you'll still lose the weight. I worry about loose skin too, especially the belly. Mind you, after 3 children and a c-section it's never going to be bikini-ready however much toning it gets!

I joined the gym for much the same reasons - to motivate me to go and the nhs discount :).
I'm similar with the swimming. I'm not too bad a swimmer but also get bored after half an hour or so.
Pre cambridge I was going to spin classes but haven't been brave enough to try them on this diet. Maybe once I'm a bit more into it.
I've had 2 kids, that and I'm 44 so my bikini days are long gone. Strangely it's my arms I worry about. I don't want that hanging, crepey look if you know what I mean.
I'm even more impressed with your running now. And well done on your 5k. Think I'd struggle to walk 5k. Maybe youl motivate me to give it another try - maybe x
