Fish without batter

Hey I heard fish with the batter removed is syn free on red day but surely it's still socked up lots of oil? X

The batter soaks up the oil. Inside the batter coating the fish actually steams!

yeh the batter will keep the oil from getting into the fish. i was wondering though, it would be a bit messy removing the batter wouldnt it? especially if youre at the seaside (mind u not much chance of that in this weather lol)

I work with disabled adults were at Brighton sea side now it's horrible :-( but were in the harvester I had steak and jacket potato x

I dont think i would be able to take the batter off and leave it on my plate, it would be gone as soon as everyone's back were turned!

Have to agree, I couldnt give a flyin sod about the bladdy fish, the batter is where its at! (and scraps! :drool: ) :8855:
