Gain in week 1!!

Really disappointed, I was totally honest with my food diary, ate more super free than free and still I had a 2lb gain :( I think it might be because I've just came off the cambridge diet? Can anyone help? Just want to understand why to be honest.

Dont worry, if you come from a diet plan where you are restricting calories and carbs to one where youa re eating freely you are almost certain to see a gain at first while your body adjusts to eating normally again. It won't be a fat gain though, just fluid retention! So just carry on, perhaps do red days instead of extra easty and gradually reintroduce carbs, and make sure you are drinking lots of water to help with fluid retention. Things should settle soon and you can look forward to losing again.

I done lipotrim and then went straight on to slimmingworld. I did refeed properly beforehand and I stuck to red days as my appetite was tiny. The first week I lost 2lb but fully expected to put weight on for the first couple of weeks.
just keep at it and let your body get used to it. You will soon see the losses x

When I did SW several years ago, I too had followed it to the letter and was really disappointed to have put on a pound at the end of my first week. However, I carried on and at the end of the second week I had lost 4 pounds so, don't give up, however demoralised you may feel because it really does work. :)

Hey, I can understand that it must be disappointing but please, please don't be too demoralised or beat yourself up about it. Like other posters have said, your recent switch from the Cambridge diet is a probable culprit.

If you need any proof that SW is an awesome healthy eating plan, just look at some of the insane losses of target members on this forum! it's the best way to visualise that end goal. I get motivated just seeing all the stickers in people's signatures because I want them too!!!

Good luck x
