Is anyone running the great north run this year im going to research it now and put my name down give me a real goal to achieve

not the gnr but the gsr in portsmouth last year. great fun

how many miles was that and how did you train for it if you did

10 miles and yes i did train a lot lol 4x days a week with one long run upping it by 1/2 mile each week

I have signed up for the Great Manchester Run in May (10k) and am considering the GNR as hopefully I will be at that standard by September- the only problem is the 18th is my wedding anniversary.......... not too sure.

I may look into another 20k in a few months time
