Hi there. I am looking for encouragement and motivation.

I hit 40 this yr and feel fat and old.

I am at the heaviest I've ever been and hate it.

Not sure if to do basic cslories, SW or WW.


Any suggestions? ?????
 
You've come to the right place for encouragement and motivation, that's the first step!

I am biased as I love SW, but why not have a look around the boards and get some ideas about them all? Good luck!

I do CCing and absolutely love it because it gives me so much freedom! I've found I am eating almost all the same foods, just finding ways to make them healthier - sometimes using SW and WW recipes!

My other half has been doing calorie counting with me and he has lost two stone since Jan and I have lost a stone (we had a bit of a lapse for a month) but we both maintained our loss!

I use my fitness pal, which is so helpful, because I can see exactly what I have eaten. I try I plan my evening meals and put them in there at the start of the day, so I know how many calories I have left.

Whatever you decide to do, this forum is fantastic for support and advice- I've only just started posting but been lurking for a few months and it has been a helpful!

Hello there, I'm a newbie here too.

I'm doin Slimming World, I've tried nearly every diet but I could never reach target & the failure & subsequent shame just made me put on more weight. So I'm trying SW, making healthy choices with hardly any counting & I can honestly see meself getting to goal this time.
