gutted :-(

aaaawwwwww...........
I wonder why - have you had enough water to drink? - where are you in your cycle? these might be relevant..

but then.. I guess it's important to look more at the longer term trend than just week by week.. we can all gain just a little some times.. it's about looking at the long term direction.

good luck lovely.. and don't be hard on yourself.. you can still look to the future with hope :)

xx

Aw, that's not so bad, considering you had a 'bad' weekend. My 'bad' weekend made me gain 5 pounds. But it's not as bad as it seems - regain when you fall off the wagon is due to refilling of your glycogen stocks. As soon as you've been back on the diet a few days, that pound (and a few more!) will be straight off, honest.

:hug99:

That must feel awful but you may find you lose a lot next week. I hope you don't get too disheartened - see it as a test!

Aww thanks guys, wish I understood all the technical or should I say chemical stuff. My cdc said its because I had a slice of bread at the weekend. She mentioned the glycogen thing too,
what does it all mean?

I won't lose my motivation, I must get slimmer :-/ xx

I think I know why, I didn't stick to cd over weekend but didn't eat much tbh. One slice of white bread must have broke the camels back. Only myself to blame! I'm not in denial. More determined now tho :) thanks for your support xxx

Oopsie :flowers:
that'll be the carbs in the bread I guess.. be kind to yourself.. it's only a slice of bread and there are worse crimes in this world.. I fell off the wagon on sunday morning cause i was out without any packs by mistake so went to the shop and bought a yoghurt and called it a 'green and white' meal - then had to have some cucumber when I got home to make it all fit with the SS+ thing..

we're in this thing together and you haven't done anything you can't pick yourself up from :)

good luck for this week - find some new-found resolve from somewhere and give this week your best shot.. you find find fab results next week xx

when you first start the diet, the first few pounds off are due to glycogen levels (basically stopping carbs). if you eat too much carbs you raise the glycogen back up and you will put on weight, but as soon as you cut out carbs again, it should come straight back off. essentially half of the first week's loss is glycogen.

that's why people 'cheat' with chicken rather than bread, as it shouldn't affect the glycogen, and why it's so important to follows the steps at the end and reintroduce carbs slowly, so you don't automatically put half a stone on.

so at the end when you're not losing as much weight stepping up, really you are, because for every pound you lose you've also not put back on a glycogen pound, so in reality you're losing double what you can see.

Ahh I see, I didn't think one slice if bread could be so damaging! I'm staying well clear from now on! Is broccoli ok on this diet? X

Bread is my nemesis too. I agree that once you're back on track that 1pm will seem insignificant. Good luck with your next weigh in x

Sorry, on the iPad and it keeps changing lb for pm??!

with the bread, it depends how carb sensitive you are and how long you've been off carbs for, but it's best to avoid altogether.

as for broccoli, you can eat most green veg on SS+/810 levels which are meant to keep you off the carbs, but only in really quite tiny portions. it is something like 2 tablespoons of veg compared with a massive portion of chicken.

if you really need to eat, go for protein: chicken, eggs, white fish or cottage cheese.
