Have you ever 'bumped in' to someone you know on a forum?

I am always paranoid about people I know reading my diary/weight etc. on a forum but as far as I know, I have never bumped in to someone I know in real life.
Just wondered if it ever happens on here?

We really let our hair down on here and tell things we would not in the real world.

There are lots of things I would hate family and friends to see that I have posted on here.

I very rarely ever find anyone from the same county let alone the town I live in, so very little chance of coming across someone I know - sad but true :-(

My point is that I like it that I don't bump in to someone I know on here as I wouldn't even tell my best friend how much I weigh for example!
PS i love Cornwall. We have been there twice in the last three years - beautiful.

Last year a girl at our SW class (she is still a memeber) mentioned something she had read on here & said she often comes on as it's really good etc.......... I did sit there wondering 'who she was' & kept my mouth shut & never said I go on etc.

Not that I'm too concerned who knows me but I do feel sometimes I tell you all things because I 'don't' know you, if that makes sense.

Someone in my SW class asked me "Do you go on minimins?" and I said yes and they said "thought so" but I never knew if it was because they recognised me from something I said or whether it was just something I had repeated from here like a recipe or something that they had recognised...

I'm too gobby to get away with anything. I'm one of these people who meet people i have been acquainted with anywhere! - common as muck me!

My ex used to be amazed at first meeting people on remote Scottish Islands, Corfu, Germany, Holland, France, Belgium - even in her home town of Whittlesey in Cambridgeshire (200m south of here) it turned out she was in the same class as my cousin!

A SW group member also found me on minimins though to be fair hardly any of our group use it!

I am surprised i don't know more on here!

I was running a stall at an outdoor event and someone came up to me and said "you wouldn't be xxxxx (the name I use on the local forum) would you?" and told me his forum name. He had worked out from things I said on the forum that I would be at the event and which stall I might be on, and then just guessed it was me rather than any of the others.

It might have been a bit creepy, but actually he was really very nice.

i like having this space separate to the sw group so don't tell people about it. when I share any recipes from hereI am vague and say oh got it off line some where....so does someone elsein my group though with recipes have seen on here sothink she may be around somewhere!
I would quite like to make my stuff more private ie pics etc as allsorts of people could stumble accross it but then on the other hand I cba!
I would have thought most c's would have heard about it at some point and if I was a c I would keep my eye on it to see if anyone posted about my group lol
