Healthy extra B

Ive read that Hovis Seed Sensation Wholemeal bread doesnt counts as a HeB, why is this? Its wholemeal so why not?

Thanks

I don't know where you have read that, but it is incorrect. This is taken from the list of Healthy Extras on the Slimming World website and counts as a B choice:

1 slice Seed Sensations Wholemeal Bread (800g sliced loaf)

Thank you! Ive been googling it and lots of forums say no. I wonder why only one slice though? :)

Probably because it is an 800g loaf. I think the other HExB wholemeal breads that are two slices are two slices from a 400g loaf, which is equal to one slice from an 800g loaf :)

So if you had two slices, the 2nd would have to be syn'd, what would the amount be? 5.5 syns?

As I've read on another thread that two slices would be 11syns?

All hex fall in the 5-6 syn category as they are all around 120kcal. Either check on syns online or use the 20kcal per 1 syn rule :)

I've just checked and one slice is a hexb but to syn it depends upon the type. They are anywhere between 5 and 6.5 as there are different types, original, wholemeal, soft and so on.
