Just found the site on the web and could really do with some buddies to help me lose some weight. Im 52 years old, from the U.K. but living and working in Spain as a Sales Mgr on a holiday resort. Right up until I was 43 I weighed 10 stone 2lbs, Im 5 foot 8, so I was between a size 10 and 12. My problem was I drank too much, worked hard, and am ashamed to say was bullemic. My family if I went for Sunday dinner would wait for me to go to the loo and do the inevitable, i got so much nagging but felt good being slim. I never dieted or exercised so it was a receipe for disaster. I got over the bullemia but not the drinking. I only drink weekends and evenings and also said it didnt affect my work, which to be fair it didnt. Now!!!!! I dont eat regular meals, but love and gorge on all the bad thins, chocolate, bread with lashings of real butter, english breakfast, puddings etc etc. Still dont exercise, still dont eat healthy and am now very very fat. I dont know exactly how much i weigh but am a size 16. Really thin legs and a small butt, but huge tummy and a triple chin. I am gross. Dont know what to do, i have a swimming pool which i never use, an exercise bike which i never use. I feel like i will be fat forever and i hate myself but cant seem to raise the effort to do something. I really dont know whats the matter with me. Please, please any advise would be welcome.
 
Awwwwwww I didn't want to read & run. It sounds like you've not decided which weight loss programme to follow yet. Have you taken a look at the diaries on here & the threads within the various diets.

I'd then ask yourself which plan you honestly think you could follow long term.
 
Hi :) I joined yesterday. I also live in Spain! I'm sure you are not gross at all, but I know how you feel. I hope you find an way of eating to suit you and help you lose some weight and feel better about your self. I'm counting calories and cutting out all processed and high fat foods. So far it's working :) x
 
Hi and welcome. Take it in mini targets. Aim to get half a stone off at a time. Also use the pool and exercise equipment, it will make you feel better.
