Hi there, I have lurked here for a while. I have history with slimming world basically being that around 12 years ago I attended a group with a friend and lost 2.5 stone (1lb a week and found it hard but steady) but kept it off for years and furthermore lost another stone when I went travelling. Returned to the uk and ballooned again but reverted to slimming world lifestyle without joining and lost it all again very easily, then stupidly put it on however had a few awful years with stressful life events and too much red wine. I have since attended slimming world classes and lost and regained the same 7lb then tried online twice but fell away from it. I've recently joined online again and feel 'ready' . My lifeis healthy and active and despite being 2 or 3 stone overweight I am a regular runner and about to do my fourth half marathon. I run about 20 miles a week but it hasn't brought about weight loss in the way it seems to work with other people. Another challenge i face is that i work offshore for two weeks out of five my entire diet is provided by offshore catering and is not that slimming world friendly, being veggie out there also limits my possibilities, i tend to live off baked potato and salad out there which twice a day for 14 days does feel restrictive.
Another issue with being offshore is that I have to use different scales at different times, I'll be back at work in ten days or so and will really goby the electronic scales there thought think at the moment I have lost about 6lb over three weeks.
Anyway I hope to use this website as support both at home and away. I'm 42 , 5' 3" and now 172lb, was 178 at the start. Look forward to getting and giving support on here.
