journey to lose

Hi fellow minimins.

I am from Lancashire, England and have just found this amazing website! I am 26 years old and have always been on the larger side. I was 16 stone and a size 18 at high school and this has gradually crept up until I found myself at the age of 26 in a size 24 clothes and weighing 19s 3lb! I woke up one morning and decided enough was enough.

I threw out all fizzy pop, crisps, chocolate and processed foods and replaced it with fruit, veg, chicken, water and green tea. I joined the gym, started playing badminton, swimming and walking to and from work. I had tried other diets before and couldn't stick to them. This time I am doing it for myself and not because other people tell me to do it. In 6 weeks I have lost 21lb, I have loads more energy and feel great. The weight isn't coming off as quickly now and I would be lying if I said I wasn't disappointed.

A website like this is just what I need for my low days and also to share my stories. My close friends have never really battled with their weight so although they are happy for me, they don't seem to fully understand the massive achievement.

Welcome to the forum :) Congrats already on your loss!! you are doing a great amount of exercise too :) wishing you all the best on your journey :)
 
Thank you for your messages of support! I am following my own plan and it seems to be working well. I have been doing it for 9 weeks now and have lost 33lb. Anybody have any tips for helping lose tummy fat? It is being very stubborn! Keep going everybody! ?
